Not guided by any ideology other than offering thoughtful writing!

Article points out, I think correctly, that a large part of the current problems between our American citizens is simply based on perception and not based in reality of action. In our home we call it ‘drama llama behavior’ - and as older people perhaps, with military experience as well as business and employee lives, we find it tiresome if not downright discouraging. Its unfortunate that ANY person in leadership should garner attention for ‘drama llama behavior’ and our citizens would be well advised to refuse any support for anyone who preys on hyping up events this way. The young people I know call it an ‘attention economy’ - you make money by gaining attention, so do whatever it takes to get attention…. The worse, the better. Personally I call that just plain poor judgement. Toddlers do this - I don’t allow toddlers to lead my views.

When they come for the comedians, they are coming for any one of us. Thank god the Atlantic gets it right. No doubt they will try to destroy you next - along with the last fraying threads of our democracy. We stand with you.

My subscription is not ad free. I’ve had issues scrolling past ads while reading for months now.

A periodical that reliably and consistently informs, educates, entertains or, all of the above.

I guess I’m being too critical but I find people are too easily swayed by the promise of things recommended on line. The Atlantic helps us evaluate different points of view. There is nothing more important.
  • Not quite there

This has nothing to do with the writing and everything to do with the app. It’s essentially a wrapper for their website with almost no extra functionality. When I browse the website, the suggested pieces throughout the article are almost always are on point and I open up a few in the background—there’s no “add to queue” or “read next” functionality which feels like a basic upgrade an app should provide over the web view. In addition, why are there ads on subscriber-only content? Ok maybe that’s less technical but still annoying. Either way, the app offers nothing to make the reading experience more enjoyable and could definitely be a lot better.
  • The most relevant app ever!

This Atlantic app is the only one I read and check back up on every single day, even multiple times a day! It’s so relevant to my daily life, I can barely go a day without it! I look forward to every article and update! Keep that good stuff coming!

The AI voices used on the audio articles are extremely annoying and bland. How hard would it be to use a voice actor!?
