    I paid for a subscription but when I try to open an article it pops up a screen trying to get me to subscribe. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. If it isn’t fixed this week I’ll have to cancel. Very disappointing app so far.

  • Using a web browser is better

    Not great as far as apps go. The app regularly links to the web page which prompts you to sign in. What is the point of an app if it just kicks you over to the internet to deal with the pay wall?

    I have been using The Atlantic Magazine app for a year or so with no issues. Then a few months ago they changed the app in a manner that makes it awkward to save stories and even more awkward to get to your saved stories. Two days ago I upgraded my iOS on my iPhone 13 Pro. Now I can only open one story on the Atlantic app and everything freezes. The website is not user friendly for going to saved stories either. I wish I didn’t renew my subscription.

    i actually prefer reading in the app, but a lot of my selected articles don’t come from browsing the app. every link is designed to take you to the website article contrary to many major publications, which open it in the app. the only link-to-app handshake is whatever email appears in your inbox. i would like it much better if the app could work to summon the intestinal fortitude of say the WSJ or New Yorker.

    Your log in is faulty. I’ve had to cancel my subscription because you will not fix it. Per my Apple record I a paid up until February 17th but I can’t read anything online or via app. I have not been able to access it for a while. I’ve contacted Apple. I’ve contacted you. No response from either of you. I’m through trying.

    Have asked repeatedly to have my access fixed to no avail. Paying for something I can’t read.

  • Poor download functionality

    The app is missing a way to download an entire issue of the magazine for off-line reading in the native app format. All that is available is to save as a PDF, which is cumbersome to find later and difficult to read.

  • Ads Appear in Every Article

  • Bring Back Scroll Bar

    An older version of the app had a scroll bar so you could see how far through the article one has been.
