New version is better, but still is often awkward. Would be nice if it there was some alignment between the primary digital and the facsimile newspaper versions:, especially on Sunday. Have a digital link to the Arts & Entertainment, Life + Travel, Thursday Food section. Life + Travel is often missing from the Sunday paper facsimile, and on those days I’ve been unable to find digital versions of features that usually appear in that section. On the iPhone version of the Sunday facsimile, the edges of the puzzles are cut off.

I mostly use the app to read the daily newspaper. Up til the last couple of updates it was quirky but readable. I had long ago stopped looking at sports standings in anything other than full page mode. Article view lost all formatting. It was annoying when you stopped breaking the comic strips into individual articles. But the fix in the latest version just shows the center of the strip without any way to see the edges. The puzzles are also mostly unreadable due to missing parts. But the worst part is that if you close the app while viewing at the article level, when you return it takes you back to the article you were viewing. Great, but now there is no way to get back to the page level. The back arrow now takes you to the newspaper level. Going to try deleting the app and reinstalling to try to see pages again. If that doesn’t work maybe just deleting will stop the nightmares.
  • Bad update

I updated this app and now I can’t read the comics. They come too big on the screen and there’s no way to change the size. This was not an upgrade!
  • Forced updates

As soon as a new version is available they make the old one unusable and force you to update. Some of us have reasons for not updating — we know the “security dangers” and make our own informed choice, weighing the downsides of a slower phone and unwanted new “features” that come with updates. Such arrogance on their part!!
  • Really hard to read

Every time they update the paper gets harder to read

Even though a digital subscriber, I am getting messages that ‘this content not available in your region’ . I am travelling. What is the use of subscribing if I am denied access? It’s ridiculous because I am getting headline feeds.

  • Headlines obscured

With the new, updated digital issue of Tribune…the top line of article headlines is partially obscured by the functions banner at top of page (login, options, forward, etc) I read the digital version on an iPhone SE
  • Liberal garbage

Just what you’d expect from a liberal rag of a paper.
  • Stop mandatory updates

Your changes aren’t important enough to force updates when I just want to read the news. Instead, I close the app and go somewhere else.
