Our groups are constantly having to ask for money when the events also cost. Loved it when it was free but now it’s best to find another platform unless you’re going to start a big group I think. I also don’t go to as many as I used to now. It feels like meetup is getting too commercial. All I want is a great way for folks to be introduced to others with their interests- bare bone- no bells and whistles. Not my fav anymore. Folks just jump to discord.

After about the 80th time I say I want to continue with the free plan, it should get the picture and leave me alone for a while… I’m only attending events, not organizing and I’ll likely never organize any. Give it a rest.
  • Ok, need better reporting.

Many men are trying to use this as a dating app and behaving badly, not taking no as an answer. Actual dating apps have pretty good reporting methods and remove offenders. It seems meetup is ignoring this off label use of their platform and not addressing the way men are harassing women on their watch. They should fix it.

I look forward to my weekly Mah Jongg game. Couldn’t ask for a nicer group to spend time with.

Meet up is a complete scam for anybody that tries to host. Go to the Better Business Bureau and read the over 100 complaints on them. They’re known for charging you incorrectly and you will not get a refund from them so hopefully you have a good credit card company that you can dispute the charges you will be fraudulently build in charged and meet up will not refund you hundreds people have complained about this. Give them your credit card information ever.

Who would pay for this? Even at the height of my use of Meetup there were only a handful of active communities in the entire city. Now it’s behind a paywall just to participate?

Peter, Fanny & Victoria, Meetup Integrity Group, refuse to perform the simple task of updating my email address. After multiple requests from me, they refuse to reply and do the right thing. It is clear that Peter, Fanny & Victoria care nothing about their Meetup members and can’t be bothered to execute a simple task that would allow me to sign up for Meetup events. For without a current, active email, I am unable to message members or receive event addresses allowing me to attend ANY Meetup events. -I have asked these individuals again & again to update my email, and they refuse. ***Updating one’s email address should be a simple task for anyone to execute. ***Shame on Meetup for employing people like Peter, Fanny & Victoria who care nothing about servicing their members. ***I am deleting my Meetup account and I will never join this SCAM organization again. ***The good news is that KARMA EVENTUALLY COMES FOR EVRYONE!
