    These pieces of trash took my money for a boost and premium, and than without warning or without even making a single match they closed my account. No emails about being banned, no response from customer service. Just closed my account and took my money within the first hour. What a joke. This app should be closed.

    There is a lack of clarification on what specifically is not allowed in your BIO. If appealed, support will continue referring to broad categories instead of simply explaining *what* violated their rules.

    100 mile radius and all you get is matches from Brazil & people from China using AI to chat… no one IRL actually talks like haha that so it was easy to recognize. This app is far worse than others I have tried as it has very few users which equates to no matches anywhere near you. My advice is to try a different app lol.

    The read receipts have gone away and now there’s an added button that says turn on read receipts. It does nothing and just repopulates. Ugh

    Most other dating apps are at least competent enough to allow you to finish setting up an account. I can't even add photos to my okCupid profile to finish completing it because of "general authentication error" which has not worked after several days. Extremely buggy app, no clue how anyone thinks this is passable as a product you expect people to pay a monthly subscription for.

    One of the reasons why I do not use dating apps is that people hurt me by calling me fake (followed by other offenses coming from the same assumptions). It is always the same. If the app had more ways of proving the identity and verification faster, it would not be so emotionally draining.

  • Don’t waste your time or $ on this ridiculous app

    The free version is 100% useless, the paid version is 99.9% useless. As soon as you switch from paid to free, you magically get 20x more likes immediately. But now they’re blurred - don’t you wanna pay for another subscription so you can actually see ANY of your likes? No, you don’t want to, because they’re all from somewhere on the other side of the world. And whether you pay or not, apparently there just aren’t many people on the app because you run out of profiles pretty quick and then the app will just show you the same ones you already swiped left on, over and over and over (and I am in one of the biggest cities in the US. If I was in a smaller city I assume it’d be even worse). Also the app lets people blatantly lie about their location, to a ridiculous extreme. Tons of profiles that list a location near me, then in their bio it says “I am from and currently live in the philippines.” I hate this app even more than most dating apps

    OkCupid is stagnant. Look at the “What’s New” section and note how every update is exactly the same. It’s clear that Match Group is not investing any resources in making OKC better. Messaging and matching is buggy. In fact, the only new feature I’ve notice in the past year is that I’m greeted with an ad to download one of their other dating apps. You know they don’t care when they’re literally asking you to use some other app, instead. Do yourself a favor and don’t bother downloading it.
