I subscribe to the paper edition, but enjoy being able to read the paper online also.
  • Good Local News Coverage

I consume the IndyStar for local news I can’t get elsewhere in any national or syndicated feed. The IndyStar does cover national and global stories but usually 3-4 days after I’ve already read it elsewhere. Please sprinkle in some conservative opinions and try to find a balance toward more facts and less opinion in the “mainstream” articles. Tell me what happened - not what to think about it. Thanks.

Reading the Indy Star online is easy! I can’t deny I loved the paper version of the Star but this is a great alternative!

Due to visual problems I can’t read the paper edition anymore, but with the e version I can increase the size of the type on my devices to be able to read every word. The stories are consistently well researched and well written. As a Hoosier now living in retirement in Florida I can say that it gives me a little slice of home every day.

Won’t download in the am. Clearly left biased
  • What is it that I’m Paying For?

With a paid subscription you would think you would not be inundated with ads. But no unlike the print version ads are inserted right in the middle of the stories after each paragraph of the story. I think that the whole newspaper thing has run it’s course. I don’t understand how a newspaper can charge $20 per month for a digital subscription. When there are so many news sources out there doing the same thing for free. It’s an old model and not mainstream for news media. Also, I am unsure how the monopoly formed by USA today is supposed to be “local news”. I’m sorry I just don’t get it. I’m unsubscribing.

E newspaper is great and is now included in IndyStar app. Easy to use and read. I highly recommend it.
