  • Horrible updates

I used to love the pocket app because I could download web pages offline and read it on the plane. Now when I try to save web pages, and when I go to try to read it in airplane mode, it automatically tries to load it up. Seems like a waste of time and there’s no settings on the app that can let me save it offline.
  • Pride Flag but No USA Flag

I was going to transition form a free account to a paid account. I went from supporting pocket to looking for an alternative once I went into my account and saw Pocket offered an option for Icons. One option. Other than the standard pocket icon. The pride flag. No US flag, no family flag. Just a pride flag. So basically I went from upgrading to a premium account to looking for an alternative.

One of the best app decisions I’ve made!
  • It’s getting worse and worse

I’ve used Pocket for at least 10 years and used to really like and rely on it. But in the last maybe year or so, it has made changes for the worse. You can no longer control the size of the type, certain parts of the type are inexplicably huge, and it no longer scrolls properly. In fact, it’ll bounce down from where you are to the end for no reason, and the scrolling no longer accurately measures how far you are in the article. I still use it for its “read it later” properties, but now I avoid it as much as possible. I don’t understand how an app to make conscious changes to make the user experience worse with every update. Just a bummer
  • Sad. Used to be good. Come back

This app used to be my favorite, and I was even a paid subscriber. But then, someone at Pocket decided to clutter my home screen with reading recommendations and 'worthy reads,' pushing out and losing the articles I actually saved to read. Please bring back the old experience!
  • Was great, now there is a major issue

I recently changed my iPad, and stupidly I decided to update the Pocket app. But now I can only see saved articles back to 2023, whereas on the older version I could see all the way back to when I joined (probably 10 year plus!). I wonder what gives…
  • Text to Voice Audio Features Unstable on IOS

This App used to be one of my favorite “go to” Read Later apps, but the text to audio features haven’t worked in a month & I am getting discouraged. That’s the main thing that I used it for. I am thinking about looking for alternatives.
  • Should not have been released for MacOS

This is simply not ready for MacOS — the font sizes are off and readibility is suffering.
  • A rainbow default app?

Really? While I’m not against those folks, that is the kind of thing that is keeping society divided by using this kind of approach directed to a group or community. What happened to just “Us”? Everybody included!!! There shouldn’t be any main focus on anybody!!! It all should be about one single community “Us”!!!
  • Amazing even a read it later app now pushing agenda

Just how confident are you about your app? Do you think this is sth people can not live without? Well, wake up
