Description

It’s madness! Robocalls and spam texts invading your phone, bad guys selling your info to data brokers, criminals stealing your voicemail greetings for AI impersonations . . . Enough is enough! We’re YouMail and our spam call and text blocker stops robocalls, spam, and scams so you can communicate safely. With our top-rated mobile app, you can get started now with free call and text blocking from known spammers and safer visual voicemail that bad guys can’t touch. We’ll even show you where data brokers are selling your info online. That’s all free, and it stops the most common robocalls. But since bad guys will change their numbers and use creepy tactics to trick you, you can also level up to Call Screening and additional protection services to stop 100% of spam calls today. Here is how our free service helps you: Once you download and activate spam blocking and turn on our optional safe visual voicemail, YouMail gets right to work. When a spammer calls from a number our 13+ million users have identified as bad, we block it. If a scammer texts you, we put AI to work to stop that too. And since criminals try to use voicemail to impersonate you, a safe voicemail box in the app protects you and your family from attacks. YouMail Free includes: • Call blocking to protect you from known spammers • Text blocking to stop messaging scams • In-app voicemail (optional) with “smart greetings” for added safety • Free Privacy Scan to identify where your personal info is exposed online That’s all free, and it’s one reason the Washington Post calls YouMail, “The nation’s best Robocall blocking solution.” But there’s much more we can do to keep you safe. Here is how we get you to 100% protection: Scammers do nasty things to reach you from spoofed and unknown numbers. So we built “Call Screening” into our award-winning app. When you upgrade to our Plus service, call screening will force unknown callers to prove they are legitimate, stopping 100% of robocalls. Plus, we will get your info removed from data brokers’ websites so bad guys can’t find your number and info online. We’re careful never to block family, friends, and important calls while keeping the bad guys at bay. That’s why YouMail has been featured on Good Morning America, NBC News, and more, but our dedication to safe communication doesn’t stop there. YouMail Plus includes: • Everything from free, and . . . • Call Screening to stop all the bad guys • Enhanced text and voicemail protections for added safety • Removal of your exposed info from data broker websites That’s great protection, but it’s just the beginning. We care about your privacy and productivity too. Take back your privacy and be more productive every day: With a YouMail Essentials plan, you can take the next step and add a second phone number to your iPhone. An extra phone line lets you make and receive calls and texts using a new number you choose. That means more freedom and privacy: • Use your new number for work while keeping your main number for family and friends • Give companies and acquaintances your second number to keep your main number safe • Make this your company number with “smart greetings” for customers if you have a business YouMail Essentials includes: • Everything from free and Plus, and . . . • A second number so you can keep your main number and life private From free protection that reduces robocalls and spam texts and protects your voicemail to advanced protection to screen unwanted callers or even add a private second number to your iPhone, YouMail is here to make you safe. You deliberately stole my data and information and refused to delete my account. A consumer should NOT have to request to delete their data if you’re expertise doesn’t reach the consumer’s standards.

Since I’ve been using YouMail I can’t tell you how helpful it has been cutting out the number of spam calls. I get every day. It was at a point. My phone was ringing constantly during the day. And the majority of the calls will spam. Now with this app, sometimes I may get one to the most that slipped by and I reported a spam so that it helps their database. For other users, I would highly recommend this app. If you get a lot of spam calls it recognizes your contacts and lets them go through without blocking once in a while a couple will slip through that are not spam and I just remind the app so next time it won’t be blocked but overall this is the app you need if you are tired of getting spam calls day and night.
  • Annoying

This app has been terrible for me. It blocked a few numbers I didn't want blocked, and regardless of what they say I cannot unblock them. Annoying...and useless.

I have been using YouMail since the early 2000 and I love it. People are impressed when they hear their name. It’s the best.
  • Lack of “wildcards” limits usefulness of number block feature.

Other apps will automatically block whole number ranges based on wildcards, but the inability to send them to a disconnected tone in YouMail based on the area code + exchange really limits the impact of the app in cutting down on scam calls.
  • Wanted to like this app

Unfortunately, I had to delete this app. It definitely helped with the spam calls. However, it kept sending some of my contacts straight to voicemail instead of letting it ring my phone. The only help I was offered was to look for duplicates. My mother, wife, and neighbor don’t have duplicate entries in my contacts.
  • Stopped to work without notice

I’ve been using this service for several years without any issues or warnings. Suddenly, it just stopped working and only shows an error message. I rely on this service for my business, and it was very important to me that my greeting was recorded so clients could hear my message and leave a voicemail if I wasn’t available. On top of that, I’ve started receiving a lot of spam calls recently, and I never received any email or message from the company warning me that the service would stop working. This is extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
  • Not free

After only three blocked calls, immediately started receiving nag screens to upgrade to a premium plan. Removed the application and left feedback for the developer in that if I wanted to deal with a company engaging in deceptive trade practices, I would have kept Verizon Wireless call filter application, which after a year and a half has been replaced with a new application requiring a $25 a month charge to activate and no free options. I understand there is overhead with deploying a separate system for handling voicemails, but as I only need spam filtering, perhaps a configuration that only offers that feature and let me continue to use do you phone companies voicemail system. Update 1 After receiving a response from the developer, I reinstalled the application. While I wait for the neck where screens to return so that I can report and work with Tim on this issue, I did notice one of their informational screens had sections that were not accessible. I took screenshots and sent them with very descriptive information to their support email and received a response the next day that my information had been forwarded to the developers so that they could research it and see what changes could be made to improve functionality. Another update and hopefully a reading upgrade soon. Update two. Putting back down to one star, is I received an email from Support stating that my ticket had been closed and if I was satisfied with the outcome. Left feedback that since the next application update was not available until December that would fix the accessibility issues, hi good night say whether or not I am satisfied with the result, as well as questioning why my ticket was closed when I distinctly replied to them that I would wait until the update was available and provide them feedback as to if it worked correctly or not. It appears that the support center is more interested in good call numbers versus actual customer satisfaction, which I have observed many times in my over 30 years of computer support experience. Final update. After receiving another network screen which I was able to get past without having to force close the application, now calls are not getting through and no voicemails are being left. Unfortunately this occurs at a time when I am having serious medical issues. Well I know the developers would wish that I would work with them to resolve these issues, there is no point if I lose my life while attempting to resolve these problems. Never in my history of iPhone usage have I had this type of behavior and the fact that it occurs after I receive a message requesting a paid subscription which I did not respond to or purchase makes it highly suspicious. So my one star rating still stands and I will not recommend this application for the impaired call me hopefully your company as well as Verizon, whose app displayed similar behavior, can figure out how to handle spam calls properly without impacting someone’s life. In the meantime I will step with what works, which is Apple‘s built-in block call system, because it has never kept me from getting the medical assistance I need. latest version will not properly handle calls even after a monthly subscription to the plus service. Not worth your time and money. Hopefully I can get my money back.
