Description

Keep your mind sharp with word and logic puzzles from New York Times Games. Free to download, the app offers new puzzles daily for every skill level. App Features and Games: NEW: STRANDS Our latest game lets you find hidden words and uncover the day’s theme. It’s the word search you know, with a twist. WORDLE Play the original Wordle — created by Josh Wardle — in our app. Guess the 5-letter word in 6 tries or less, and analyze your guesses with Wordle Bot. SPELLING BEE Is scrambling your strong suit? Play the daily Spelling Bee and see how many words you can make with 7 letters. THE CROSSWORD Subscribers can play the same daily puzzle that’s printed in The New York Times, in our app. Crosswords increase in difficulty throughout the week. CONNECTIONS Group words with a common thread. See if you can do it with four mistakes or fewer. SUDOKU Looking for a numbers game, minus the math? Play Sudoku and fill each 3x3 set of boxes with numbers 1 to 9. Play a new puzzle every day in easy, medium or hard mode. THE MINI CROSSWORD The Mini is all the fun of The Crossword, but you can solve it in seconds. These word puzzles don’t increase in difficulty throughout the week and feature simpler clues. TILES Unwind while you match elements in the day’s pattern — the key is to make consecutive matches. LETTER BOXED Create words using letters around the square. Letter Boxed is another fun way to test your word-making skills. STATS Track your progress for The Crossword, Wordle and Spelling Bee. For The Crossword, monitor your average solve times, see how many puzzles you can solve in a row, and more. Plus follow your streak on Wordle, and track how often you reach each level in Spelling Bee. LEADERBOARDS Start a friendly competition with The Mini leaderboards. Add up to 25 friends to see who can solve today’s Mini puzzle the fastest. PUZZLE ARCHIVE Subscribers can now solve over 10,000 past puzzles from Wordle, Connections, Spelling Bee and The Crossword. DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION OPTIONS: You can purchase a monthly or annual New York Times Games subscription. As a subscriber, you’ll enjoy the full Wordle experience, plus Spelling Bee, The Crossword and more. See our subscription offers for further details. Longtime subscriber, but no longer. Not after they legitimized Hamas supporter Ahed Tamimi in a clue as a “Palestinian activist.” Kiss my tuchus.

I've been a long time subscriber to the NYT Games and have loved when a game's archive becomes available. Long flights, sleepless nights, boring meetings. NYT Archives are there for me to enjoy... Except the most challenging of all for me... Strands. Please release their archive so I can keep track of my daily streak, and cure my boredom. Endless spending on expansion packs for the Mini is getting old. Two stars for now. Five when you release this!!

“Tiles” needs some help, but I love spelling bee and connections.

I love that you can only play once per day, which keeps you from getting sucked in. I also like the leader board, but wish it tracked all the games, not just the mini.

My app still doesn’t have dark mode - except wordle - and it is updated as well as my iPhone is updated. I know others that have the same issue, yet others that have it. I’ve emailed support, never get replies.

This is a good app, and they’re good about fixing bugs. I play several of the games. I wish there was more info on how to enter crossword answers when there’s something weird. I also wish we had more access to beta games. It is weird to play most games on the app, but then have to go online.
