  • New Update is a Fail

I am a Premium user on IOS 11.4.1. The latest update is not allowing input of meds. The app freezes. I’m unable to scroll. My email address was removed from my settings info which is why the app and website will not recognize me as a user of the app. The website support is non existent. Please fix the bug. This isn’t a good thing! I clicked to write a review to ask for help. The form came up as an edit of the above review. I’m certain this is not a review I’ve written. Tech support is needed. I’ve written to them at their email address as well as used the form online. No response. Is there no one from tech support monitoring these emails and questions? Update: I have cancelled my subscription that I’ve had for a number of years. It makes me sad that this wonderful app is now not working and is useless.
  • App is lacking some features that are required

Last time I emailed their support I never got a response. My stupidity in deciding to try this app again. Following are some of the frustrations with this app - note that I subscribed to the premium tier 1. It doesn’t read anything from Apple health other than steps. Any blood glucose readings that are in apple health will not be viewable in the app. 2. It doesn’t write anything to Apple health. Any blood glucose readings you enter here are not viewable anywhere but this app. 3. Scanning barcodes is hit or miss. First one I tried was not found. 4. It will read steps from Apple health, but doesn’t include exercise (or anything else). 5. Careful if trying the 7 day free trial. I got immediately billed as I had tried this app years ago. Didn’t inform me that the free trial was no longer available - very sneaky.
  • Good app.

App tracks what it says it will track and more! I track my blood glucose and my blood pressure on this app. It also pulls from Apple health apps if you allow it.
  • Medication Issue -Resolved

Update: A mere 2 months later, it appears they have fixed this bug. Or the app makes you delete a medication 50-100 times before it decides you really meant to delete it …. This is a great app that I have used for years. However, it currently has a bug that I have reported 3 times now to no avail, starting on November 11, 2024. I use the medication tracker daily to keep up when I take my medication but the app no longer lets you delete medications you no longer take.

You get blasted with subscription spam constantly. This app clearly isn’t about users anymore and is focused on making money for the portfolio. Look at other options.
  • Tech Support - Not so much

I enjoyed Glucose Buddy for eight months until it suddenly quit working, logging me out. The password I used was no longer recognized. I even tried to log into the web site with the same unsuccessful result. I sent numerous emails to their support with no response. There is no phone published for them. That tells its own story. I ended up creating a new login, losing eight months of data.

Just downloaded this today, and trying to add Ozempic to the meds. The only dosage periods are 1-6 times a day, versus once weekly. So, I had to turn off its monitoring. I was also told by my physician to measure my blood sugar about 2 hours after a meal, but preferably at least once in the morning and once before I go to bed. But the app pinged me to take a measurement almost immediately after eating. There also doesn’t seem to customize the blood sugar range - my doctor wants me to control it in a more narrow range than the average. Lastly, the photo of food seems to be a great tool but maybe I am not using it right to measure a mixed ingredient meal like stew to capture quantities of each ingredient. I will let you all know if my experience improves.
