Description

Wipr blocks ads, popups, trackers, cookie warnings, and other nasty things that make the web slow and ugly. Websites in Safari will look clean, load fast, and stop invisibly tracking you. You’ll notice significant improvements to your battery life and data usage. Setup is a snap. Wipr’s blocklist is updated twice a week automatically, and has enhanced versions for the following languages: Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. Wipr 2 is a universal app: install it on all your devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro) with a single purchase. It’s fully accessible with VoiceOver, Voice Control, and more. Dark and Tinted icon variants are included. Because it’s developed by a single independent developer and 100% funded by its users, Wipr only answers to you: no one can pay to have their ads unblocked, and there are no “acceptable ads”. This app was built with love and patience. I hope you’ll enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed designing and building it. – Kaylee Terms & Conditions: https://kaylees.site/terms-and-conditions.html

Wipr 2 is causing a lot of sites to break with the recent update especially music streaming like YouTube Music, Spotify and Pandora.

I purchased the original WIPR years ago and discovered the newer version and decided to purchase once again. I did so because the product has always been reliable and I deeply appreciate the authors inclusion of voiceover support which means I could purchase without worry that I would have trouble using the product. Thank you for thoughtful and expert development.
  • Thanks to the woman goddess who designed this.

Love the app but intrusive popups aren’t being blocked. I click a link and the new page opens but a pop up also opens. It would be nice if it would block these pop ups. But overall I like this updated wipr

Over the years and since before there were any browsers as capable as what we have today I have tried to block various online annoyances. Whether they were free or paid they all had many failings. Wipr and now Wipr 2 tops ‘em all. It requires almost no interaction from me and most of whatever annoyed me in the past is gone. After you get used to it for awhile try shutting it off, then use Safari without it. You’ll be amazed.
  • Stopped blocking ads

I recently purchased the app about 4 days ago. The app just stopped blocking ads on YouTube. During the 1st 4 days, videos would start playing without issue but now it takes about 20 seconds to start playing and then a prompt to skip the ad comes up. It is a little disappointing that this is happening because all of the other reviews were all positive.

It doesn’t look like it bypasses something called “CHP ADBLOCK”. Not sure if the dev resolved this already and it’s just on my end but would love to know if there’s a fix for this.
