I really love this app and all of the different options and ratings, but every time I open the app, it closes itself after 5 or 10 seconds, sometimes immediately. Besides that bug, this app is an amazing option for tracking your read books and tbr!

I loved the book tracker in the beginning. It was nice neat and organized loved the ideal of a book shelf to track books very cutsy but Joe every type I open the app it bugs out. I can’t input book or check my tbr because the app just closes I open it again and it shut down . Very frustrating
  • Premium gets all the fun!

I haven’t played around with it yet, but so far you can’t really do anything with it except pin books without paying for the extra prescription. It’s really annoying.

I am usually a huge fan of this app; I’ve been using it for the last year and a half with usually just minor issues that I have mostly ignored and which have been resolved. However, I opened up the app today to discover almost all of my data was gone! All of the books I’ve read and all of those in my TBR and current lists were gone except for the three most recent entries. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed that all of my notes and lists have been removed without any warning. Can someone please help me recover my data?
  • Used to Love It… Now It’s Just a Glitchy Mess 😤

Up until about two months ago, I loved the TBR Bookshelf app. It was my go-to for organizing, tracking, and planning my reading life. But now? I can’t even open the app without it crashing. Literally. The moment I try to log in, the app randomly closes. Tap the app icon? Opens, then shuts. Try again? Same thing. It’s happening on both my iPhone and iPad. I’ve tried everything—uninstalling, reinstalling, checking forums for solutions—and nothing has worked. Even after the most recent update (which I saw hit the App Store just two days ago), the issue STILL isn’t fixed. As an avid reader, this is beyond frustrating. I depend on this app, and now I can’t use it at all. And honestly, why would I upgrade to the paid version when I can’t even get the free one to function properly? There’s no confidence that it wouldn’t just do the same thing. Please, please, PLEASE fix this. I really don’t want to uninstall for good—but at this point, I might have no choice. Help a devoted reader out! 📚💔
  • Data Recovered, Still Room for Improvement

I want to thank the TBR Bookshelf team for finally responding after my third follow-up email. Once I attached my saved list, they were able to recover most of my data, including most of my TBR and read books—which I really appreciated. That was the most important thing to me. That said, the recovery process wasn’t without its issues. After reinstalling the app, many book covers from both my TBR and read lists were missing. Some covers uploaded fine, but others simply wouldn’t upload at all—the app didn’t crash, but it also didn’t accept the upload. In those cases, I had to delete and re-add the book manually, trying to remember the original rating and reading time. It’s a tedious process I’m still working through. Regarding personalization, I had saved up a good amount of diamonds, so having to re-purchase a theme I’d already unlocked wasn’t a huge deal personally. Still, I think users shouldn’t have to pay twice for features they already own. It’s a small thing, but worth mentioning. The app still experiences occasional crashes, though nothing severe. The developers clarified that only Goodreads CSV imports are supported right now, with full CSV support coming later. All in all, I’m relieved and grateful to have most of my TBR list back. I’m not moving on from the app—not yet. I’m staying with it and hopeful for improvements. Due to the current bugs and extra work required, I’m updating my rating to 3.5 stars and look forward to future updates.

My entire account has been deleted with seemingly mo way to contact anyone or get it back. I really enjoyed the app and loved the layout of it. But after not logging on in a couple months the account that was associated with my email can’t be found.

This app started out great but there have been constant crash and QA issues. Every few months it gets fixed and a few months later it chases. Sorry—I’m transitioning to Goodreads

I like the app and the fact that it keeps up with the books I read but it cashes a lot . The app glitches , the app automatically closes on it’s own .
