    This is an absolutely great game, it’s very engaging and very well plotted, just like many other games, however, like all free roam games, with amazingly thick storylines…you need storage…now, the worst thing about this, is that not a lot of people can afford a PS5 which Honokai: Star Rail is available on, but the good thing about that, is that the PS5 can play games that were originally on disc or store bought from the PS4. I generally wish that bigger games like these were available for ps4, strictly because my phone can’t hold too much storage, and it’s not worth buying the extra storage on your phone, nor do I own a Pc (which costs a lot already). Overall, even if adding Honokai: Star rail to the PS4, people who download it on the PS4 will be more beneficial to all people looking to play with just enough storage, and a lot better quality than mobile. It’s both beneficial to the devs and the consumers of the game in many different, but good ways. Although PS4 storage may not be the BEST option, it’s great for starters who can’t use their phone. We’ve all been there I’m sure… Thank you for reading my review, overall, 5-star game, 100% worth the download for a fun adventure.     This game is extremely fun to play/the story is very deep and compelling. It is a gatcha game where you have to roll for characters, but they give you so many free rolls and also the gatcha is decently fair as you are guaranteed after so many rolls. I am currently 60 hours in and haven’t spent a dime, but have been able to use a ton a ton of rolls and gotten a lot of good characters. Still haven’t had to grind too much to level up characters (had to seek out components sure but that only started at hour 40 or so and hasn’t been difficult). Would definitely recommend. Also get the HoyoLab app (the game will recommend it in game) for a ton of free stuff (and thats where people also post guides and such).

    I usually like the mini games in Genshin and HSR. They’re a nice break from the usual gameplay. Unlike most games, Hoyo typically doesn’t put the in-game currency awards, gems, behind the hardest difficulty level. This lets players of all play-styles, hardcore or casual, get gems without getting overly frustrated. This version of HSR added Hamster Ball Nights, which is just awful. I’d put up with the low-effort graphics and boring gameplay if I could clear the levels and get the gems. But no. They have a single score threshold, 2000 points, that doesn’t seem possible to achieve. The best I’ve gotten is around 1800, and I have no idea how I did it. Good runs will score 1100 points and bad runs 1800. I have tried the first level about a dozen times and can’t get any better at it. I’d be fine with just skipping it if there weren’t hundreds of gems I’m missing out on. There’s also a world quest to complete on the “difficult” setting that I’m obviously never going to complete. Update: the design is even worse than I thought. You score better by spamming the action button than you do by trying to play skillfully. I’ve cleared several levels this way. There’s another variant that gives you a gun, and that one’s even worse.

    The game is fun. The fanbase is terrible. The company kowtows to the same small minority from the protected class that cannot be named or criticized. Until the company disavows the rainbow fans and makes it clear that their games are for EVERYONE, regular fans should stay away. This review applies equally to all Hoyoverse games.
