    I’m curious how the idea came about. Grad school? Entrepreneurship? I have a similar idea for an app. Food and cooking like… we haven’t reached the Final Frontier for it. Like ride share ? Uber and Lyft. Delivery ? Doordash and grub hub. There is totally a market for like,,,,optimizing cooking education and recipes and grocery delivery etc

  • Help - i can’t move next to Quest 3

    Please help - i can’t move to Quest 3 despite completing all tasks in Quest 2 (and i am repeating those tasks in Quest 2 in hopes of getting moved to Quest 3, but to no avail). I tried removing the app, reinstalling, and restarting my phone. No luck. Please help.

    If you are looking for new dishes to make and have basic knowledge of cooking, I would suggest avoiding this app and going with an app like “Tasty!”. Zest Cooking does offer some good information for beginners, such as in depth look at various cooking techniques and flavor profiles. The UI is also very pleasant. However, recipes are locked and you have to claim them to access them. New “Free” users get 3 recipe unlocks. Not sure if you can earn more unlocks or if you are forced to pay the $10 a month to remove that limit. Some of the recipes look interesting, but a few are a waste of time to even follow. One example is the meal idea of “upgrading” a frozen pizza by adding additional toppings to it. I can’t agree to pay $10 for access to recipes when I can just google them or even ask ChatGPT to suggestions.

    A great app with helpful fun tips and delicious recipes! I really appreciate the ability to build a grocery list quickly and the videos are very nice. They even note clean up times so you can clean as you work. I like to listen to a good podcast as I cook with this app open and it is quickly becoming a new favorite way to prep my meals.

  • Misleading

    I really wanted to love it, but it’s not really usable. Comparing it to Duolingo, but for cooking is misleading. It’s not free. You get a week free trial, then the app is unusable. If you want to spam me with ads, sounds great. But locking the lessons behind the “cook recipes” paywall is really annoying. I just want to learn man. I’m tempted to create a new account and copy and paste all the lessons and upload them anonymously so they aren’t locked behind a paywall. Disappointing :(

    Love the app! Recipes are amazing and it’s laid out in such an entertaining and easy to understand format. However - when I subscribed to the app it told me I was subscribing to the $45/year subscription, and two weeks later I was charged for the $80/year subscription. I was not too thrilled to be charged that much more when I was under the impression I was being charged for the lower amount. Be sure to check your subscription after the two week trial period to ensure you aren’t charged more than you anticipated.

    Duolingo has free features that makes it useable! This is NOT free. I cannot utilize an app that only gives me 5 free recipes! Thanks for stealing all of my information and kindly informing me you want $120 for a year. What a scam

    as a girl trying to get into more hobbies, i appreciate this app existing! not only are the characters cute, that green onion is so cute, i love the fact that im also learning about different principles of cooking that i wouldn’t have known otherwise. so cutesyy, def recommend!
