    i was a bit skeptical before i tried one of the recipes i imported because i didn't know if the measurements were accurate, but they were. When you look at a recipe, sometimes there will be a highlighted word and when you click on it, it shows you a video on what it means and how you can do it. (stuff like special cuts) and when looking at a recipe, there's a button to choose how many servings you want, so then you don't have to remember to double, half, etc.

    Best cooking app ever, it’s so easy, it’s FUNNY! Did you know this app was humorous and that makes this so much more enjoyable! This is so much fun and so easy for beginners! Also WTH, they EXPLAIN WHY you’re doing things and have videos to guide you. ANYONE can have fun with this and it’s the best! It really is, I get my moneys worth over and over because it’s so easy to use and follow and there’s so many good features, the developers really made this as user friendly as possible and kept beginners in mind. Even as a professional you could use this app and get a lot out of it. I’m perplexed and will be referring this app to anyone who wants to cook AND to people who want to develop user friendly apps because Zest KILLED this! Amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Pretty good but some major bugs

    I am actively using this app on the free trial and so far I am very impressed. The import feature of recipes from Instagram, tik tok, or even just websites is very handy. It’s nice having a handy central place for recipes that automatically tracks macros and adjusts ingredient amounts based on serving sized However… A major app breaking bug I ran into is when editing a recipe or “starting one from scratch”. This just entirely closes the app crashing it. This is a major feature that I am unable to use even when uninstalling and reinstalling the app. So that’s a large disappointment considering if you pay for this app outside of the free trial. For now I’ll leave a bug report and this review. If it’s not fixed by the end of my 2 week trial I’ll probably cancel it and not use the app. Not getting all of what I’d be paying for for sure.

    I used to dread cooking and now I actually love it. This app was the perfect answer for me, an inexperienced cook who loves structured learning. My husband is also so happy because I cook so much more often. I feel so much more comfortable in collaborative cooking settings because I know the reasoning behind choices in a dish and can brainstorm how to improve it. The recipes are well written and tasty and logical. Cannot say enough good things about this app.

    I absolutely love this app. I spent the $60 on the yearly subscription and I feel like I’ve saved significantly more than that. Many of the recipes are easy, fast, and yummy. I love how they’re rated by skill so you know what you’re getting into. The learning portion is also so great, it really breaks down all of the ideas of cooking. They don’t expect you to know anything, and I really like that. They’ve definitely made improvements, like adding a way to save online recipes. And there is a way to edit their recipes, but I don’t appreciate how it works, I’d rather enter it manually than have what seems like AI do it. PS their support/CTO is great and super responsive.
