Sometimes you’ll get matched with a human player and sometimes a bot. The devs want to keep you playing by creating high and low swings, similar to gambling addiction. This means you WILL go on some very frustrating losing streaks as well as some very exciting winning streaks. You will get SOME fair matches against human opponents, but if you start winning too often, the game will begin to dictate every element of RNG to make sure you lose the majority of your matches for a while. More than 75% of your losses in this game are forced and/or retreats, meaning the game ended before the final turn. I’ve played the game long enough to recognize the patterns. My advice is to skip this piece of software because EVERY decision made by Second Dinner is based around pure greed mongering. They’re literally incapable of getting out of their own way and are running this game into the grave. But if you think you might enjoy getting trolled by bots for two days in a row while losing 95% of your matches then go for it.

The devs have been taught to ignore any and all bugs in the game and then to ignore any requests for receiving missing resources in game due to those bugs. This is also now my third time posting this review as it seems to somehow be taken down every few days.

Great game, but I just bought the pass with the link in the webstore. And didn’t get the points reward. I talked to support and they told me, that you only get the web points rewards if you buy the pass in the webstore. With is at best a money grab, at worst fraud. Cause it didn’t say that anywhere, and it linked me to buying the pass in the app.
  • Losing to unbeatable bots

When I first started playing this game, I dove headfirst into learning. I watched YouTube tutorials, studied DeepSeek’s guides, absorbed AI-driven strategies, and read endlessly about game mechanics, card combos, and synergies. The effort paid off—I began winning consistently, even as a newcomer. But everything changed when I started spending real money. Suddenly, I couldn’t win a single match, no matter how hard I tried. It felt like the game had shifted into a rigged "Luna" mode, pitting me against unbeatable bots or algorithms designed to crush paying players. The frustration grew unbearable, so I uninstalled it. Ironically, my earlier success came from using DeepSeek’s deck-building. Their AI analyzed synergies, optimized combos, and crafted strategies that helped me win 4 out of 5 matches. It was the fastest way to master the learning curve and leverage card interactions. Clearly, skill—not spending money—was the key. Maybe pouring cash into the game backfired, pushing me into matchups against impossible odds. I genuinely enjoyed the game, but the pay-to-lose dynamic felt manipulative, almost *artificial*. It lacked the authentic, skill-based culture I’d initially loved. Lesson learned: sometimes, the smartest way to win is to let AI do the heavy lifting—not your wallet.
  • Getting very frustrating even though I love the game.

With the newest update, the app is 60% closing out of windows for the rewards and 40% playing the game. Please fix this and stop disrespecting my time. .. The newest update added card mastery’s, and it highlights a glaring problem with how this game is developing. The pop-up screens and animations are consistently preventing me from just playing the game. I already felt burdened, needing to spend all of my credits because with the inventory-maximum being so low, it doesn’t let you claim rewards of other challenges until you spend it. So I have to scavenge around my card collection, looking for cards I can waste credits on. I want to upgrade my cards out of my own desires not because the game is forcing me to. And now every time I claim something, I have to wait for the card mastery bar to slowly fill up. And then more pop up screens with some lame banana backgrounds I’m never going to use. You have a big button that says “claim” on it, but you won’t even let me tap on it until more numbers scroll buy and open up more pop up windows. Like… COME ON. Hurry up game. :.. I only play this game for a couple of minutes at a time. And it used to be the favorite game on my phone. But now I’ve gone back to playing clash royale because they don’t disrespect my time.

Over glorified gotcha game with terrible card acquisition, New players cant keep up. Developers are more worried about which outrageously priced bundle they can stuff in your face rather than actually making the game enjoyable and fun to play.
  • Seems I was hacked in game to auto lose and deter me away from a game I helped build why is that?

So I wrote two reviews both being 5 stars saying how much I love the game and how they aren’t greedy money hungry developers. Well that certainly changed, the bundles are ridiculously expensive— all the cosmetics they add and variants are overpriced by every meaning of the word. It is a shame because when this first came out years ago it was an amazing game that was focused on the fan base which is why it got so popular. Now they just keep seeing how far they can get in your pockets, Ben Brode back to his blizzard roots of absolutely pay walling his game for any real progress. If you don’t want to spend money, DO NOT get this game. I used to buy the battle pass and that was enough, now you can in fact come into the game and drop thousands of dollars and still not get enough to compete. Shame on you second dinner. Shame on you Ben brode.

What a great game to play when you have a little down time from the kiddos. Easy yet challenging at the same time. Love making new decks and collecting cards
