  • Love the app, Glitch to new update

We love the app. However, when I turn my phone sideways to view my bay when sleeping, the live health readings for pulse rate and oxygen do not appear anymore, which is the main reason we use the owlet sock and camera. Please fix so me and my husband’s anxiety can ease up by viewing our baby’s oxygen and pulse rate again! Thank you!

Yesterday there was an update for a bug fix and ever since when on full screen, the vitals don’t stay on screen. They just flash and it’s not very helpful

You have to open and close it five times or more just to see your babies live BPM and Oxygen. I love the product just can’t stand the app function.
  • Difficulty getting readings

When I try to put the baby to sleep and I hold her in my arms I often get difficulty getting readings error. The base station starts to beep and wakes the LO. The notification keeps beeping and restarts many times even though I cancel it in the app. This happens every other day, pretty frustrating. I understand that the connection is difficult to improve. However it would be convenient if I could just silent this type of notification in the app with one click. We also had problems setting this up on Android, but support helped, they were very nice and responsive.

I sleep better at night knowing he is being monitored and it will alarm if something is not right with his heart rate or oxygen.

I’ve been using my owlet for years, and it baffles me how an app can be just as bad— if not worse, than when it started. I need to restart the app every time I open it because the readings always stop. At one point I thought I forgot to put it on my son, but it was just the app not working. Take some money and invest it in the development of the app. The entire brand is worthless if the app is this bad. I used to recommend this to people but I am done. We shouldn’t have had to install another camera in my son’s room since this one doesn’t work. I truly hope there is a class action lawsuit and Owlet has to take accountability of their careless mistakes. Update, months later and this app still doesn’t work. It’s bull that they can get away with this. I can’t even connect to the app when restart it now. No sound, no video, base station always disconnects. Shame on you, owlet. I’m done believe you care about the wellness of babies and you are only money hungry. Do better.
  • awful UI/UX & camera hardware

Great on phone. Clearly no effort on the iPad version though… super small video which is very disappointing for such an expensive device. Guess the budget for the software engineers got too high for the margins the shareholders wanted. Edit: updated from three stars to one. phone version is terrible too. Distorted audio that cuts in and out constantly. It’s obvious that they picked up a white label security camera and rebranded it as a baby camera. Kills phone battery and they actually just removed one of the only useful features… audio even if the app is in the background. Try a real baby monitor and you’ll see and hear the difference.
  • Not reliable, takes forever to connect every time.

Would not recommend. Got it because of the deal it came with the dream sock and the monitor is horrible. Takes forever to connect, disconnects a lot, lags and overall not reliable.

We have used Owlet Dream for both of our sons and it has been extremely helpful and successful to keep them a live from SIDS. The peace of mind that gives you while your babies are sleeping is the best thing in the world. I will buy Owlet as many times as needed.

Camera disconnects constantly. Sock is good. Had three false alarms in 1 year and 1 probable actual issue alerted. I would pick a different camera if doing this all over.
