  • Needs a few feature enhancements

    The app should allow users of the wet food dispenser to build schedules that can refeed containers already exposed to the pet. I can manually refeed a container in the app but cannot program a refeed via the schedule so it happens automatically. My pet prefers to eat smaller meal portions at 3 hour intervals. It would be great if we could cycle the containers around again at more hand picked times. The workaround is to build separate schedules back to back, but that’s unintuitive and cumbersome. The other way would be to set it to open in three hour intervals and use the “Automatically Repeat Schedule” toggle. 🤔 What I would like is to pick exact times that three containers would be open or closed over the course of the food’s freshness recommendation of three days based on my pet’s eating habits. This way food will remain as fresh as possible and my pet will be happier. Bottom line: please allow users to build more feeding times into schedules. PS: hardware feedback… have a sensor that closes the container when food has been consumed to preserve freshness of the remaining containers

    The BIGGEST drawback is that only one login can be active at a time. I have my fountain integrated with my smart home which means I can never use the app or only use it until my smart home updates and I get kicked out of the app (kicks me out of the app every minute then have to log back in). It’s annoying!!

  • Started Strong, But Reliability Is a Real Concern

    My first PETLIBRO RFID feeder worked great, so I bought two more when I got new kittens. That’s where the problems started. All three units regularly show as offline in the app — sometimes multiple times a day. It’s a persistent nuisance, but I dealt with it. Then one collar tag failed, leaving one of my cats with unrestricted access to food she’s supposed to be limited on. Shortly after, the feeder itself stopped connecting entirely. Multiple reconnection attempts have failed, and I’ve had to order a replacement. For a product designed to manage pet feeding restrictions, reliability is everything. When it fails, it’s not just an inconvenience — it affects your pet’s diet and health. The hardware concept is solid, but the network stability and build quality need serious improvement. Would not recommend buying multiple units until these issues are addressed.

    The app works well enough, but you’re constantly hit with a barrage of ads to upgrade to their cloud feature. Super annoying.

  • Feeders unreliable. App is infuriating

    Feeders have a bug where they randomly dispenser endlessly until clogged. Who’s completely defeats the purpose of a rationing feeder. We have 6 of them and they all have the same problems. The iOS aPP has taken to expiring your login after about 3 taps and 15 seconds. Basically unusable.

    The scheduled feeding does not run while the network on the app is down! Why is this a thing?!?! My home network is fine but the PetLibro app has had network issues for several days now.

    Petlibro has experienced a couple server outages over the past year. this is problematic for those that rely on the feeders, especially when they are away or need it for physical assistance. I am mostly disappointed in their lack of transparency and poor communication during these outages, it’s unclear if the scheduled feeding times still occur there is mixed feedback around this on Reddit. it’s also unclear the system status as a Petlibro product owner.
