  • Limits to 5 chapters per day if you don’t pay!

    Reading chapters on AlphaNovel app costs going through 3 ads per chapter. However, much to my surprise, they limit the number of chapters to 5 per day so if you don’t pay! Very sad, it feels that I have to pay a ransom to unlock chapters. I found a book I like and was willing to waste time watching the 3 ads, but they locked me out!

    They give you an opportunity to subscribe $2.99/week.. but it’s not enough to cover books and goes fast within the first day! Then you cancel the subscription.. and THEY STILL charge you THREE weeks after cancelling. So if you like people STEALING your money and really expensive books, then you’ll love this app. If not, then you’ll hate it just like me. Do not download this garbage app. Also, their directions on how to cancel.. DOESN’T work and good luck finding someone to contact.

    I originally got the app because it popped up while I was playing a game and it said free chapters only to get on there and discover the chapters are not free already had to delete good novel in a couple other because I’m not paying multiple different books and they keep repeating the same books over and over so I had it for maybe a day and deleted it. Don’t false advertise say free chapters and I get on that and just keep prompting me to pay delete delete delete the only reason I gave it four stars because the story I read was a great story other than that deleted it so quick.

    I’m enjoying the app and the story. I can read for 10-15 minutes and the timers don’t even move to show that I have read anything. I close the app, refresh, start over, still no minutes. It’s very frustrating.

    The app says this is “free”. It’s not. After a while it makes you watch 3 commercials to read 1 chapter. Then after another while, it says you’ve watched all that you are allowed. You can only read more IF you buy points. It’s false advertisement. Period.

    Each chapter increases in coinage. You buy 2000 coins thinking oh good I might have enough. But the chapters will start at eight coins then 10 coins and eventually 50 coins etc. the 2000 coins goes fast. You need to stop doing that. If you don’t stop doing that, I will never buy coins again. They lure you in and then slam up the amount quickly.

    I wish I could give this app zero stars. Waste your time trying to read a book. You can only watch so many ads for free coins. Each chapter cost a different amount. Forget trying to just buy the book because it cost more than a new hardcover at B&N. They do daily specials on certain books at a discounted coin price or even free. I’ve tried reading the “free” books only to be charged coins. When I reached out the customer service did not care. After several emails the refunded me a portion of my about 55% of my coins. Save yourself a headache and skip this app.
