  • Big Island must-have!

    Use the big island bundle for our trip last week to Hawaii. Made the drive around the island much more interesting, and found a lot more activities and things to see then we otherwise would have. Our kids loved it, and reassured them that their parents knew where they were going lol! If you’re driving around the islands, be sure to have this with you!

  • Interesting but confusing

    The part of this tour that took us up the mountain was really great but there were a few times on the way down where it called us to look at something and we couldn’t because it was dark. Sort of confusing since this tour is specific to sunset and stargazing. Also wish it had a part about stargazing like the observatory content while we were at the summit.

    We learned about the Shaka Guide from Rich on Tech on KTLA. We used the Shaka Guide for the Black Hills, The Arches and Canyon Lands last year. It was amazing. This year, we went to Yellowstone. I don’t know how we would have spent three incredible days there without it. It was fantastic. We even learned the origins of the “Train Station” on the Yellowstone series -the “Dead Zone” in Wyoming in the park, where you could get away with murder….maybe.

    My family and I thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from all the proactive warnings and explanations provided before each stop. If you have to rely on reading signs or pamphlets at each stop, you may miss a lot of great information. We always felt well prepared before our arrival about history, fun facts and key information. The tours are great and fill a lot of dead air travel time with quality info and music.

    I recently downloaded Shaka Guide for a trip my family took through Yosemite. I was very skeptical that it would work because non of us had service, but not only was the tour so precise with our location but the depth of knowledge and information shared while we toured the park was phenomenal. We all kept saying how much we loved the app and the information and how much we would have missed out on as we drove through Yosemite if we hadn’t had Shaka Guide with us. Thank you so much for making our family vacation so memorable! 10/10!!

    My family used the Shaka Guide in Sequoia for our first time and it was perfect! We easily found all of the spots to see, learned about them, and enjoyed the stories! My teens loved it so much (yes, teenagers loved it) when we went to Yosemite, their first question was asking where the Shaka Guide was, so I bought that too! This was a perfect way to tour the parks, learned about the history, and focus on seeing all of the beauty! I HIGHLY recommend these tours!

    I thought the experience was great. We didn’t have any glitches, and the app times itself perfect based on your location. We were worried that cell service on the road to Hana would be an issue, but because the app lets you download the guide it functioned without issue in areas with no cell service. It was highly immersive and really helped us feel like we got the most out of the drive. Would absolutely recommend!
