So I heard about this app from a pretty prominent cooking influencer and he has done plenty of paid promotions, and all of that for this app and talked about how amazing it was… which is why I decided to download it. The good things about this app, it is fairly easy to use and fairly easy to search up any type of recipe that you would like. The layout is very nice, and overall usage of the app is very easy and straightforward into the point . HOWEVER!! šŸ—£ļø The only way you will be able to even save your recipes in your account is if you pay for the premium version of the app, or unless you like the recipe and then follow the person so that you can even keep the recipe, to go back to look at it. I am fully aware that this app needs to make money to continue operating, and pay all of the developers and people that make the app and what not. But not a single person that I have seen talk about this app, which is pretty much only one or two people tell you that you have to pay to even access all of the ā€œpremiumā€ features of the app. And the only premium feature is to literally be able to save the recipes to go back to look at them…. That’s the only point of the whole damn app. I am having to go back and screenshot the instructions and the ingredients list to save into my phone so that I can write it down somewhere else later so for me personally someone who can’t afford to pay for this app I don’t see the point of even keeping it. I feel like having a prominent cooking influencer who preaches affordability in their cooking content and being able to feed yourself in your family and affordable ways, talk about this app and hype it up as if it’s a useful platform and it is, but only if you can afford to pay for it to use it to its full potential, which makes absolutely no sense. For me personally I am right back to square one and there’s no point in me keeping this app on my phone. If I’m just gonna have to keep doing what I did before. To me this business model is absolutely insane and there has to be an easier way to make it better with the free version even if it was letting someone save up to five recipes for free a day, or one or two it doesn’t even matter. Back to my pen and paper šŸ“ I go…

Still learning how to use it. But so far saving recipes off fb is pretty easy. I haven’t tried to find and use them yet.
  • Just another data collection app

Gotta love an app that’s asking for your contacts before it prompts you with the subscription. And then 50$ a year for an online cookbook 🤣🤣🤣 delete. Can’t wait till I get the email that they leaked my info.

I would give this a 5-star rating if they had just two features that seem to have been missed. Yes, this app is better than the large competitor (you’ve probably seen a bunch of adds for, too). I saw a cooking influencer suggest this app, so I tried both and this one seems to be much more intuitive and user friendly… save for the inability to make edits to the recipe after it has been posted. It also does not actually save a changed cover photo when entering the recipe if it populates an image first. You ca. try, but it always reverts. I have tried talking with a customer service rep and they said that it should be included in the next update (couldn’t give me a date, though)- well, it just updated and it still isn’t fixed. If those two things are included on a future update I can go back and change my review because all the other features are great!

I gave three stars instead of two for the generous 2-week free trial. The majority of the recipes are full of cheese, salt, and processed ingredients. Which is fine if that’s what you like! However, those types of recipes are all over the internet and don’t require an app that’s $50/year. I just don’t see the point of this app. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

I’m not sure how to do it or if it’s Miss leading or just difficult to maneuver but I have a ton of save videos and recipes on Instagram. The app makes it seem like you can upload them to the app. Can’t figure it out. So. No thank you. Please do not charge my card for a subscription once the free trial is complete. Thank you.
