The distance filters do not work. I have to swipe left through people hundreds and thousands of miles away. Some have reached out to me which makes me suspect they are fake. Glad I got the smallest promotion. And the premise is not even true. Most of the people I am seeing do NOT have kids at home.
  • Opened account, no matches/messages, banned 2 hrs later without reason. Stole my info

Opened an account and tried 5i use it 2 hrs later. Said put in password. Didn’t take password. Go through password reset prompts and never get link. Do this over the course of a few hours, read faqs, see nothing but what could be Glitch. Contact help and the crudest customer service says fill out a Banned Appeal. Fast forward to my plight with STIR. I asked the customer service why would I get banned? I never matched, sent a message, or had anything remotely inappropriate on my profile. I’m escalating this to state agencies this week after I get more gaslighting from STIR. This is a case of pure inside discrimination. Not surprising! Another Disgusting company being deceitful to users with a matrix-like, gaslighting customer service approach. I signed up for this, wanted to pay for it, they too or stole my info, and then banned me for no reason. I am a victims of the deplorable STIR fraudster

This app had so many fake accounts, criminals, con artists, etc. A lot of the men had criminal history and seeking vulnerable women or desperate women with children. Worst experience on a dating app.
  • Unfair deactivation, stolen membership funds by stir, refuse to return after deactivation!

My experience with the stir Single Parents Dating App has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I joined the platform with sincere intentions, paid for a premium membership, and followed the rules while trying to make genuine connections. Despite this, my account was suddenly deactivated without any clear reason or explanation ,only a vague message saying that I had violated the terms and conditions. When I reached out to customer support to understand what happened, I was met with silence and generic responses. No specific reason was ever given, and I was not provided any opportunity to appeal or even discuss the situation. What makes matters worse is that I had paid for premium features, and once my account was deactivated, my access was immediately revoked ,yet no refund was offered or issued. I submitted a request for a refund and was completely ignored. Taking someone’s money, cutting off access without cause, and refusing to provide either an explanation or a refund feels unethical and borderline fraudulent. It’s unacceptable for a platform to operate with such a lack of transparency and accountability. Users deserve to know why their accounts are being removed, especially when no malicious behavior occurred. At the very least, there should be a proper appeal process ,something every reputable service should offer. Unfortunately, stir has shown no willingness to listen, respond, or take responsibility for its actions. After this experience, I’ve lost all trust in the platform. I would not recommend it to anyone, especially those who value fairness, customer service, and ethical business practices.
  • Functions not working

If I’m in NYC why is the app showing me people in PA, CT and MA? As in the majority of the people shown to me are very very very far away. The distance setting is set to 1 mile! I literally have no use for the app. If this was a “find a long distance lover” app, I would understand. It’s frustrating so I quit.

No matter if I pay or use the free version, there are never any persons anywhere near me. None come across as options or likes. It’s always people from 4 to 8 hours away and this app is full of married people. It’s a dating app for single parents, I’m not trying to be your friend or the person you complain about your spouse too, hard pass. Sadly, all the sites seem to work this way now, even Facebook. It all works on this algorithm to keep you swiping. None of these apps want you to meet anyone! The golden age of Internet dating has passed.

I’ve used the paid and unpaid version and you’ll get no where. They sure know how to take your money though and not customer support

Nothing works on this app. They will take your money and leave you with no way to cancel your membership short of closing your bank account. Apps like this should be(and probably are) illegal. DO NOT USE THIS APP OR THIS COMPANY.
  • Abysmal filtering & location, full of AI/bot profiles

I used this app successfully almost a year ago, and joined again recently when my SO and I unfortunately broke up. Night and day difference, all for the worse. Location filtering doesn’t work at all; I keep getting potential matches from more than 50 miles away, despite my setting being 20. Sometimes more than 200 miles away and/or in Canada! Also, it used to be the case that there was a minimum amount of profile information required before a profile was visible, and that still seems to be the case on my end. But there are now dozens upon dozens of potential matches that have 1 or 2 pictures and little to no information filled out. And then there’s the obvious bot/fake profiles – I have seen so many profiles with duplicate answers to the prompts, it’s infuriating. This app used to be a shining example of how dating apps should work, and it’s been turned to absolute garbage.

I have updated my preferences to a 50 mile radius for potential matches, but it still gives me people from multiple other states who are hundreds of miles away. I tried on multiple times going back into my settings now and each time I do the app crashes.
