It doesn’t separate derivatives anymore. Everything lumped together is a mess.

I have done a lot of research on where and what I can eat at restaurants every time I want to go out and it’s been a sore subject because who wants to research every time. Then when I do find what I want I’m not sure and chicken out if I can eat it or not. With this fig app, it tells me exactly where and what I can eat in a very easy format. It’s like looking at a menu, What do I want to eat, and then seeing the location. Amazing!!!
  • Limited Usefulness

Idea is there but the app does not provide the ability to make it useful to a wide range of conditions or diets that might need to be followed. Many are just needlessly missing. For instance Keto or low carb or even just low processed food or low sodium diets are not even options among others. You could try and back engineer it yourself but with too much effort that it renders using this app ultimately pointless and more of a headache. The price is also too high for what is offered and how helpful it is vs what it portrays itself as. Will not be paying past trial.
  • Paid App

They don’t tell you anywhere that there is a monthly fee / a high fee until you have downloaded the app. I find that deceptive / dishonest actually. And they collect a ton of personal data also.

when i knew i couldn’t afford to pay $50+ after a week of free trial i was immediately offered a discount to $35 for the first year. signing up you even think wow this app claims they will tell you before you’re at risk of paying with notifications. NO WHERE do they say if we offer you a discounted first year price because you mark you can’t afford the full year free we take away your free trial. will be filing a consumer complaint with my state attorney general office on the fraud in intentionally taking advantage of people who are low income. second, this app is absolutely useless. the app cannot handle common medical dietary restrictions- such as low oxalate for certain common kidney stones. or to consider suitability for things like diabetes. of the very limited options they do have built in, such as low histamine, a diet i previously had to follow-it’s absurd how most of the “safe” products they list are just random chemicals or compounds in processed foods that you’ve never heard of, not an actual food item you could eat on its own. in my local grocery store they claim people can only eat a hand full of things from the entire full grocery store which is not accurate. and those items are inaccurately categorized. for example it suggested the only bakery or dessert item i could eat was wild salmon fillets??? i have life threatening food allergies, which i common with people who need a low histamine diet. insanely they don’t let you just list the things you’re allergic to so it can avoid those. even common ingredients, like jalapeño, almond, mint, pineapple, or sage you can’t select. for the few options it does let you select it does not do so accurately. for example you can indicate you can’t eat onion and be told it’s safe to eat chives by themselves. or you can say you can’t eat capsicum and then get told to eat a variety of raw bell pepper. also, they don’t have the largest grocery chain in my state. and when i was scanning items at home from national stores like whole foods or trader joe’s or target or walmart it didn’t have many many common items. the concept here is good a good future goal but right now the advertising, app store description, and free/trial/subscription all intentionally midlead you and are also predatory toward low income people specifically. i used the app for less than an hour of my week free trial and went to cancel and delete and found out i got charged for a year as someone who runs out of money for food every month. if you do not make this right by refunding the charge, i will be filing a claim through my attorney general’s office.
  • Very good App

Reason for the 2 stars is based on the App being really good. Unfortunately for me is that the free version does not include the things that I am allergic to, making it much harder for me to avoid many foods, especially when I’m allergic to basically everything it seems. So for anyone else who are sensitive to certain foods, hopefully this app will help you avoid them.
