This app has me in awe. Seriously, they teach you step by step process of the basics! Just by doing 3 lessons for fun, I’m already leaning so much!
  • Good but needs more for free

I was amazed at how many words/gestures I memorized in the very first lesson, but I found myself struggling to remember all the words I learned an hour later. I wanted to go back to see the words I've learned so far but could not find it. Is there a way to go back and see what we learned? If not, can you add a way for free users? My only other complaint is the price of the full app. I wish it was cheaper to learn a language that helps include people in conversations and in life in general. Maybe team up with a non-profit to help bring the cost down?

Wanted this to be the perfect app to learn, I have hearing aids and this would have been perfect. Had I not hit a forced paywall after getting to chapter 2.

This is a great way to steadily practice. If you like the general idea of Duolingo, you’ll like this.

I recently got this app thinking it was free but it’s not to an extent. It won’t let me pass level 2 and is very expensive to pay for the next lessons. I don’t recommend this app

  • Very Well Thought Out

This is the best app I’ve ever tried for learning a language. I appreciate every detail they’ve put into it. The instructors all have their own signing speed and style so it’s a good way to learn recognizing the signs in different contexts. I rarely feel like subscriptions are worth it for me but this has been a great investment. As I’m beginning unit two I’m already looking for spaces to practice and build confidence and I’ve connected with people with just my effort to actively try. I think I have a streak of 40 something days at this point and even a quick 5 minutes a day definitely makes a difference. My only feedback, which I’m not sure if possible, would be dialogue practice with phrases from previous chapters and units you’ve completed. I really appreciate the breakdown of practice for different overarching foundations.

I wish they would explain why a sign looks the way it does and the meaning behind it. Some signs do have a reason behind them. Like toilet is the letter t moving. Another thing sometimes one interpreter will do a sign backwards of another interpreter sometimes they explain it sometimes they don’t like I’m deaf one interpreter brings the finger from her ear to her mouth another from his mouth to his ear. Yet they didn’t explain it and the difference was in the test. Otherwise I’m enjoying the app. Not too complicated yet easy to start daily
