Saying its update fixes bugs instead the bugs are getting worse, hiding reviews of lower stars is a violation of consumers review fairness act which will get your company fine.

The content is good, but it’s “pay to listen” stories that end up costing a fortune. They really need to either do a monthly subscription fee like audible or just sell the stories individually. You have to buy “coins” to play 5 minute chunks. It’s predatory and I feel bad for the individuals who have fallen prey.

Narration tends to be overdramatized, and to ‘Us’ avid readers having one of the main character’s name spelt six ways to Sunday in a chapter is unforgivable…’Vorden,Warden, Gordon, ???!?!’ … really?!? 4/5 *****
  • Pretty decent app

The only bad thing I have to say is when I pause the audio to change to any other use of my phone is the audio will suddenly begin to play on its own. I have had to hang up on a phone call when the episode continued to play after 10-15 seconds of being “paused”. I just had the next episode begin playing as I had switched to listening to a podcast.

This app is very sneaky. I spent $30 on a coins. The sleep timer has stopped working. And over the past two nights, since I didn’t close the app completely. It just kept playing the next episode and charging you for it. I think I had about 200+ coins, all gone in the span of an evening basically. I managed to get a video where it shows the timer was on and instead of stopping at that episode, it went to the next episode, but the play button was showing instead of the pause button. I’ll be posting the video soon and editing this review with the link. When I first got it, I thought it was a great app. Good enough for me to wanna spend $30+ on it. The stories are good. But again, make sure once your story is done you completely closed the app. Just say goodbye to your coins if you have any

It can cost you anywhere from 30 a day depending on how much you listen!!! I listen for hours a day sometimes and I have to pay for mins constantly… the worst part is if the minutes don’t register once you pay you’ll have a hard time getting in touch with the people behind the app… it’s frustrating! The stores are good though

I think they did an update, I now have advertisements for content that I paid for with coins. This is ridiculous I didn’t have this before.

The app is still amazing and it's nice to see that the developers read and respond to most if not every review i'm loving my vampire system and I am really excited to see what the developers implement in the future with all the suggestions about pricing so we can get past the coins

I’ve been using Pocket FM since late September and I’ve had no complaints until now. The app updated and that brought forth a lot of issues. Before, advertisements were once in a blue moon, but now, you get an advertisement at the start of EVERY episode. The ad spam has grown to be extremely annoying. Another issue is that they significantly decreased the amount of episodes you’re allocated per day. Before, I was getting 4-6 free episodes. Now, I’m lucky if I get three. This app is EXTREMELY expensive, each series tends to have hundreds, if not thousands of episodes. I get wanting to make money, but needing to spend hundreds of dollars or having to complete hours of tasks just to unlock a few episodes is egregious.
