If there were a dating app equivalent of a timeshare scam, this would be it. First, they reel you in with glossy ads full of impossibly attractive Jewish men who look like they stepped straight out of a JDate fantasy. Reality? Nearly every single guy is exclusively bald (nothing wrong with baldness, but don’t sell me on hair when it’s clearly a hat-free zone), and—bonus!—they live in entirely different states. You’ll spend more time calculating airfare than planning a date. Then comes the membership trap. You fork over a monthly fee thinking you’re getting the golden ticket. Nope. That “membership” buys you exactly seven swipes a day on people hundreds or thousands of miles away. Oh, and those “in-person events” they hype up? Not included. You have to buy another ticket to attend—so your membership is basically a cover charge for the privilege of paying more. This app is a catfish buffet with a paywall.

I like the description part of the people in the app, but have not matched and or got many likes in the app which suggests the algorithm can do a better job

I have been a member of this for a few weeks and don’t recommend it. The thing they know how To do best on this site is ask for constant membership level increases and ask for me to refer new members to them. No dates so far after a few weeks and only 1 match that won’t nowhere

I am not Jewish but downloaded the app for it’s “Meet in Real Life” options/events. I have gone to two events so far and although I haven’t met anyone I would be romantically interested in, I did meet some pretty cool people and had a decent time.
  • One of the worst dating apps

They charge an arm and a leg to get no matches or match with people that live nowhere near you without the option to filter to your area. Really poor design of an app.
  • Great idea, poor execution

Used the app for three months in NYC. Not worth the time and effort compared to Hinge. Signed up for a premium membership primarily to have priority access to in person events. Got accepted to the first event, and then none of the other eight. The app gives no indication of when an event sells out, leaving you in the dark if you should make other plans or not. For the first month, I received a reasonable number of matches. Starting month two, I did not receive a single match. This continued through month three. Support is generally unresponsive unless it’s about billing. I’d give the app another chance if the above issues could be fixed.

I didn’t mind waiting 6 hours even if the handful of options were no good, I do mind running out of options and showing me people in different cities I’ll never meet. If there’s slim pickings on JSwipe, there’s even less here. But hey, maybe I’ll get a few matches in the 6 month lock-in
  • Strong concept, but limited reach and high cost make it tough to recommend broadly.

Lox Club is a niche dating app designed for Jewish singles, which is great if you’re looking to meet within the community. The prompts and questionnaires stand out—they’re well thought-out and make starting conversations easier and more fun. That said, there are a few downsides. The number of likes you can send is limited, and to get full access, you’ll need to pay for a fairly pricey membership. Matches can be few and far between, and unless you’re based in New York City, the user base feels pretty sparse.
  • A scam

This is the worst dating app by far, I truly wish I could get a refund. You cannot do anything for free which I feel was misleading but fine it was $80 for 6 months. For that price I was expecting a match because that is steep. Nope you get like 5-12 profiles at a time then have to take a break or pay more. There are zero filters for your pool. You have to pay to see who likes you. Everything is an additional fee. Just save your money and sanity, might as well pay for an actual matchmaker.
