I had my kids phone locked up and while he was at school I got a report saying that he was on a bad website. I checked the safe and it was still there.

Wanted to use this app to simply limit the amount of time on my child’s phone. I removed all other restrictions on apps and websites. However, it blocked multiple websites and apps, including DuckDuckGo, even though DuckDuckGo was listed as having unlimited access.

Use this app everyday! It is so helpful to be able to monitor my kids activity, and protect them from things that don’t align with our values.

Calls and messages requires a Windows or Mac app ? Ludicrous. On iPhone all icons get rearranged out of groups because that is what IOS does of an app is blocked - eg if a bedtime routine is setup.
  • Controversial opinions between my parents and me

I am writing all facts in this some may be seen as opinions, but this tension between me and my mother never existed. Pros: 1. Blocks screen time correctly 2. Allowed apps work 3. Schedules work 4. A little confusing but works when you understand how to use it 5. Great app for my mother to threaten me with when i make her mad (should probably put this in cons since no kid wants this, but oh well) Cons: 1. It had caused many fights between me and my mother-I don’t know if it was just me but it had turned my mother into a helicopter mom and every time I try to negotiate everything goes sideways. 2. I try to download apps for school-ai helps learn how to figure out problems by breaking them into steps to help me understand better than if a person could explain it. I’ve tried many apps and every one of them it continuously blocks out the connection. I don’t know if this is because of the ai part or just because it’s built into the qustodio’s security system and you can’t change it. I don’t have enough time to talk to my teacher’s about things I’m confused with and these ai apps really help. Since Qustodio blocks the connection with them Today I am writing this because this is the millionth time me and my mother are in a tense moment. All these problems and arguments lead up to this app. It had turned my mom into a freak about screen time and I feel that this app is blocking me from credentials such as helping me with school. I try to explain to my mother about how this app is not helping me at all but she sees it as teenage rebellion and assumes it’s just because I don’t have enough freedom. It’s gotten to the point where I am afraid to even talk about problems from this app with my mother because of how bad it made our relationship with this. *This review isn’t for the app to get better but for parents that want to see how it has affected others* Thank you. (3 stars seems excessive for this type of review but my mother likes this app and I don’t so I put it in the middle)
  • Can no longer edit app use time

Since updating I can no longer update my child’s app time. Please fix. Also would love the ability to add extra time just for that day (temporary time) that wouldn’t permanently set a day time limit increase.
  • Does not work

Wish I could give zero stars. I have SnapChat and Instagram blocked and yet my daughter can access them. There is a work around that allows them to download their apps even when they are blocked. Unfortunately I paid for a year in advance so I’m stuck with an app that doesn’t block what it should but sends me a million pointless “warning” emails a day. Oh! And somehow didn’t manage to block Pornhub. So don’t waste your money!
  • Not worth the money

Set up was easy and o was super excited about using this app. My son figured out all he had to do was delete it and all restrictions immediately were ineffective. What’s the point if it’s this simple to break through. Very disappointed I spent $99 on this.
  • Terrible app

The app does not consistently work. I purchased the premium plan to get more support and the first available appointments are a week out. Don’t bother with this essentially useless app and service.
