Buggy system randomly turns on and pairs/unpairs. User experience for Sonos used to be a key value driver. But not anymore.

ZERO stars if possible. One of, if not, the most buggy apps ever created. Nothing EVER works.

Still ridiculously wonky software. Simple tasks like removing a speaker (new one drops out repeatedly) or adding…very disappointing
  • The worst app on the entire App Store

It’s astounding that halfway through 2025 the Sonos app is still a disaster. Changing your wifi? Good luck with your speakers! You’re going to have to FACTORY RESET ALL OF THEM in order to get them on the new network.
  • Great speakers, Horrible App

I love the hardware. The speakers are great… when they actually connect. My 3 Sonos speakers rarely successfully connect to airplay via Apple Music. God forbid I try to get two of them to work together at the same time. When I bought them everything worked as it was supposed to and it was heavenly. I have had my devices for less than a year and now they only work properly (usually) if I use them through this Sonos app which is absolute garbage. Trying to utilize my Apple Music subscription through this app has been done so poorly that I am genuinely considering selling my speakers and buy Apple ones. Too bad. They were great for a hot minute.

Been trash since they did the massive update over a year ago… at what point is this fixed? The issue I’m currently facing, is when I click on all the speakers which are playing music, I can’t adjust the volume of the play bar and another speaker, but I can the other four speakers… like what happened to you, Sonos… pathetic Funny how all the reviews you show are from years ago! You’re a freaking joke, Sonos !

The sound quality is great. However, the app used to control the speakers is THE worse thing they could have ever created!!!! The speakers never stay connected to the app. You have to constantly add them everyday. Sometimes the speakers drop off right after you add them. It prevents you from being able to control the speakers. They would have done better if they just included a small remote with the speakers.
  • Bad and getting worse

Speakers themselves are good, but the app is hot garbage, and increasingly unreliable. Getting worse with time, to the point where I genuinely need to consider if I want to continue with the 8-9 speaker system we currently have.
