  • If I See Pikachu One More Time, I’ll Throw Up

As long as Gamefreak continues to ignore all non-famous Pokémon, a bitter taste is in my mouth.
  • Switch version, great! Mobile version, horrible.

Pokemon Home on the Switch works great, never any issues. The mobile version crashes all the time and I’ve had to delete the app multiple times and reconnect my account due to constant communication errors. My account won’t link anymore and gives only communication errors and doing all the “fixes” to fix it does not work. The apps become unusable on my phone. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this headache and stick with the console version.
  • Amazing bit has some serious problems

Its amazing, perfect to get dlc Pokemon behind paywalls but there are some things that need fixing. The first thing is that some trades can’t be done like someone wants a Hisuian growlith that can go into lets go pikachu but hisuian growlith cant go into lets go pikachu and no body can do that so its just unfair. And another thing that needs to be fixed is gts trading, I think it would be awesome if someone put a pikachu for a voltorb and someone put a voltorb for a pikachu that it would automatically trade it. Other that, this app has been super helpful for whatever I need.
  • Requesting Pokemon that don’t exist

This is a great app, but there’s a huge problem with people requesting Pokemon that DON’T EXIST! For example, people keep requesting for level 91-100 Furfrou forms, when you can’t get these. Please fix this issue
  • Pokémon not standing against U.S depiction of human trafficking as “Gotta Catch ‘em All”

However, Don McGowan, Pokémon’s former chief legal officer, told the gaming website IGN that he “wouldn’t touch this,” predicting it would “blow over in a couple of days,” citing the company’s aversion to publicity and noting “many of their execs in the USA are on green cards.” It appears that Pokemon is now aligning their brand with the depiction of human trafficking and kidnapping of citizens as being what Pokemon is all about. This is disgusting and terribly evil behavior; but exactly the kind that Pokemon appears to agree with, or at least, sees no reason to take a stand against.

  • Constant communication errors

The features are nice but I’ve tried clearing the cache and it still throws communication errors constantly making it unusable. I’m using a strong wifi network and this shouldn’t be a problem

Feels more like an app coasting on its last days, waiting for an overdue deprecation announcement, than it does the “cloud service of the future for Pokémon games.” But what else are you going to do? This is what they’ve chosen to leave us with. It’s not like you can use some competitor’s cloud service. Maybe in the future we’ll get >30fps, a non-insulting and responsive UX, a GTS that isn’t littered with problems, box organization that isn’t genuinely painful… Maybe. Hopefully.
  • Pretty solid but can be buggy

It’s a pretty great app when it comes to transferring Pokemon between games, and it allowing you to get your Pokemon out of home and off the 3DS is a life saver. The app doesn’t run the greatest though, and there are a lot of moments where I’ll hit a button and the entire app will just freeze and I’ll have to restart it. The favorite button is especially guilty of this.
