    - Can’t zoom recipe - no keyboard shortcuts - small windows for editing recipes just more cumbersome to use than iOS apps

to the best of my knowledge, still no way to bulk delete recipes. When importing from another app, categories / folders do not sync.
  • Paprika-killer!

Thoroughly enjoy using this app, as I was a long time user of Paprika. My only suggestion would be to have synchronization for meal plans with Apple Calendar. I very much need that feature!

I love this app so so so so much, and I love the updates it has received over the years. It easily scrapes websites for recipes and saves them to your local device, and it’s gotten better with time. I have nothing but the highest praise for this app!!!
  • Day One Paprika defected to this gem…

Look no further, this multi OS app is the best. I used Paprika from day one. But the development team seemed to be happy no evolving, and also not taking my repeated suggestions to incorporate OCR/AI supported importing from camera. It’s a game changer. I’m at someone”s house, they have that killer recipe in a cookbook, and in less than 10 seconds, it’s perfectly imported into Crouton. And by the way, if you used to use Paprika, one can import your full data set into Crouton.

Whoever came up with this app is a genius. This app is simple but gives you so much. I love the meal plan and grocery shopping linked to my Apple Notes grocery list which I share with my husband. Might try the discover features. Yes, it is worth the price, I promise because I don’t like in-app purchases!

I have been wanting to digitize my recipes and after some research landed on Crouton as a solution. So far, so good. Looking forward to fully utilizing its functionality and handoff feature between my laptop for entry and iPhone for accessing ingredients when I grocery shop.
  • Could use help in the formatting department.

I’m OCD about the presentation and formatting of my recipes and that is falling apart in Crouton as it doesn’t seem to support tiered bulleted lists, etc. so I’m having to find creative workarounds. Additionally iCloud sync does not work. I added pictures to my recipes from my phone (since I used it to take the pics) and I’ve pushed sync on my iPhone and iPad more times than I can count and the pictures and both devices are still not in sync with each other. The solution offered in the app is turn off a bunch of the features you pay for with iCloud+? So many other apps have figured this out without this - reach out to other developers and ask for help (respectfully).

I’ve tried several different recipe managers but this one is my favorite. It easily updates across all my devices and gives you flexibility for portion size. Importing from a website is seamless. Another nice feature is the auto advance when looking at the directions.
  • Great app! So handy, a little buggy.

I love this app. There are a few things that could be better though. Some recipes don’t import well and all the instructions are put into one step. If I use the share feature in Safari to share to Crouton, it sometimes freezes up and I have to quit Safari to get it working again.
