  • Kinda Deceptive

I got the app to get me walking more and to hopefully lose some weight and NOT walk 10,000 steps. I started strong with 5.7k steps. Then the app raised the goal. I walked more. When it went from 8.6k to 10.3k I was kinda perplexed. Felt a little like bait and switch. I also haven’t lost an ounce in three weeks.

I have used WalkFit fora short time. I find it a useful tool to motivate me to walk. Easy to use. I would like to see the free walk to include pace in that module.
  • DO NOT GET!! Hidden fees

Be very careful with this app. It looks free, but simply opening an account means you’ve agreed to charges (hidden in their “terms and conditions”), eventually leading to a $66.65 charge every three months. These charges don’t even appear in your Apple ID’s recurring subscription list, making them hard to spot. Plus, it’s charged to your CC under a different name which leads to additional confusion. I do not recommend this app due to all these hidden fees.

UPDATE: Upon receiving my less than positive review, I received an email from the WalkFit support team, which I very much appreciate. Their response was thoughtful and not automated (like other email responses I have received). They offered me a couple of options. I selected the option that was right for me. Thank you for your response and resolution. ************************* I wish this was a positive review, but after signing up for the trial, I have been unable to access my account settings in the app to make any changes. I was just charged $66 for 3 more months and I cannot seem to change this. Also, I submitted a password reset request and the password sent comes up as invalid. So I tried again. And again, the password sent is invalid. You now have all of my information and I cannot access it to make any changes or deletions. Smells like a scam - I’ll be contacting my bank.

After downloading this app it worked perfectly. When I sign out & go in later it tells me my password is incorrect. I reset it and it still wouldn’t let me in. Deleted app & cancelled. For what they charge should be better. JS

This is just a fitness tracker. When I paid and downloaded the app there was nothing. No personalised plan, no goals, no nothing. Just linked to my Apple Watch and is essentially another fitness tracker. No motivation, no nothing. I emailed and asked what to do and instead of answering they cancelled and refunded my money.

Same video over and over, and there’s no way to get out of the free trial. Now being charged monthly for something I don’t use! App doesn’t appear in subscription so where to find the cancel?? Contacting the bank and filing a fraud report. Buyer beware!

This app is nothing like the constant ads that I see. You do take a test, but it does not calculate your steps for success, but asks you how many steps you walk a day and then shows a graph that approximates how long it will take you to lose weight. Then before you can go any further you must sign up for a month to month, quarterly or annual plan. To lose 20 pounds walking 7,000 steps a day it says will take about four months. Apparently you have to also follow a very strict diet as I already walk 1-2 miles a day and do not lose that kind of weight on my high protein plan.

I have increased how much I walk every day. I have not seen much weight loss but do feel better.
