  • Not happy with upgrade

    I’ve had Goodnotes for years. Just updated to version 6. Suddenly there are now bugs and glitches. This is extremely disruptive, as I have been using Goodnotes problem-free for PhD graduate school and research since around 2020. Now that I’ve updated to version 6 (because the app would no longer open), I really don’t appreciate how my notes get erased, or if I’m notating musical notes they suddenly they disappear. My work is vert tedious as it is. I do not need buggy issues added to this. I’m also finding myself hunting around for things that used be more accessible and user-friendly. If you don’t get this fixed soon, I’m going to hunt for another more reliable app and cancel my subscription.

  • Fix the auto scroll

    I used to love using Goodnotes for my classes. But lately the more I use it the more it frustrates me. First this auto scroll feature that I’ve tried to turn off multiple times but just reverts back to it being on, it is so infuriating when I’m trying to take my notes and scroll ONE row only for it to fling up/down to the next page. So annoying.

  • Can’t sign in and support pages don’t work

    I really liked this app until recently. I’ve been locked out for I don’t know how long. There’s also an issue with their support pages even loading. I’m so upset. I used this app to journal. It’s all gone.

  • News scrolling feature is difficult for taking notes and studying off it

    The new scrolling feature where it automatically scrolls for you onto the new page is frustrating to use. Hard to zoom in and study when it will just scroll a page for you.

    Changed my review from 3 stars to one. I use this to study for LSAT and been only using Goodnotes. Well for a reason unknown and support has not reached out with help my notes “bounce” up and down, and I can’t use it at all. Waste of money and time. I’ll have to export all my notes and find something else. I use the outlines and the bookmarks, but I guess it was too much for the system to handle. And yes, my Goodnotes is up-to-date. ******************************************************************I enjoy Goodnotes, but there is room for improvement. Screenshots are time consuming to add, when using a keyboard there is no way to add SUB-BULLET POINTS. This is the most frustrating. I have to create a whole separate text box and I am limited to the classic circle bullet or numbered 1,2,3. I’m sure there is more. Additionally, sharing notes from my iPad to my IPhone is less than seamless, the notes take a long time to load and once loaded still do not display for several minutes. Please make improvements for the folks using goodnotes for notetaking - not planning. Thank you!

  • All the work GONE

    All of my notes. Gone. The only thing that changed was that my ipad updated over night. I am beyond frustrated. Hours of work, gone just like that. No recovery option. No messages of “The app closed unexpectedly”. Nothing. Just me and a sea of other frustrated users screaming into the void. I’ll change my score if this is fixed, but for now the only thing I need from this app is to preserve my notes. Nothing else. You would think that would be the #1 priority, “MAINTAIN NOTES”. Too bad because I really thought this app was the answer to my note taking needs.

  • Feature updates regularly break behavior

    Great app when it works, but it is often frustrating to use. New features are often pushed out that update settings and behaviors, ruining established workflows. Signing in can crash from time to time.

  • Auto advance

    There is a new feature that automatically scrolls to the next page when you swipe. This is fine if you want to use it, but if you don’t there is no way to permanently turn it off. I have it turned off for all documents but the only way of actually turning it off is to make sure it is off and open a document, now it will stay off FOR THAT ONE DOCUMENT. Now if I exit that document, which has it off, and open a new one, the new document will have it off but the first one that had it off originally will now have auto advance reenabled. This is extremely frustrating and completely screws up my notes especially when going back and forth between documents.

    I am having issues with my Goodnotes 6 and need to either email or speak to someone. I can’t find where to do that and it is very frustrating.
