No useful free features and paid version ain’t much better. Zero ability to see weather conditions. Terribly buggy. Stream ratings system is a load of baloney.

This used to be a great app but now has gone down hill. When I first stated to use troutroutes it would let you see the rating of the stream what you should throw and other things that would make your fishing more successful. Now the only thing that you can do without upgrading to pro ($60 pre year) is look at a map that shows the labels of the stream. If you go to open it out it just tells to to get pro. FIX THIS.

I understand that the developers want to make money and offering additional features means you have to pay. I used the app to double check the regulations on specific rivers before going fishing but even that feature is gone from basic users. The app is 100% useless unless you pay for a subscription.
  • Extremely outdated and near useless

I downloaded the app and checked the area where I normally have fished for 40+ years. Some of the streams they have listed do NOT exist. There are some streams and rivers NOT on the map and roads are 20 years out of date.
  • Lots of potential

Used to be amazing I was more than happy just being able to used to look at the ratings of the rivers for free but now you can’t do anything with the app. Just buy onx at this point. Wast of money.

This app used to be great and super helpful finding which segments of river would be good for fishing. Taking away the basic river rating system and making it a pro feature is a travesty. Don’t really have any use for this app anymore. Haven’t used it since it got taken away. Sad. This used to be my go to app and I’d tell everyone that it’s my favorite to find new rivers and tributaries depending on the rating. All I ask if for that feature to come back to the basic use. Hopefully this can change. 5 star app when we can use that feature.
  • Basically a paid app

Can’t access anything useful in basic subscription. I can’t justify pay $60 a year for info I can find from a nearby fly shop.
  • Awesome app that keeps getting better.

This app gives you comprehensive info on the trout stream opportunities in the U.S. it works great for planning an adventure and broadened my base of the general hydrology of an area that may have hidden opportunities and just as important the access points. The developers / support peeps are very proactive in responding an/or updating anything that my need tweaking. Well worth the subscription to help you explore a new area or better understand a current one. Love the ability to annotate your own notes and mark where you have been.
