  • Missing two (2) Features

I like the app, as most of you out there will. Two features are missing. First, you can’t select if the plant resides near a north, south, east, or west facing window. Second, I can’t zoom in on the plant’s picture to see, for example, an emerging new leaf. One more thing. I watered a bunch of plants early because I was traveling, and the app is still showing the plants were, for example, watered 15 days ago instead of 4. I don’t why, but it makes for unreliable history.

I thought, “there must be an app that helps me remember to water my plants!” And it turns out I was right. It’s a shame how much premium costs, especially the ID feature since you can just use different apps for free.

Once again I see an app that looks free but isn’t. I’m so sick of this. I might be willing to pay a small monthly fee but I need to try it first! Just state up front that there’s a cost!!!!
  • Dying plants

I switched to Planta when my other app increased to an absurd price. Planta’s water schedule was so little in comparison, but I figured it’s the expert. Wrong. My plants are all dying from being underwatered. The schedule doesn’t update either.
  • Overpriced, underfeatured

Yet another subscription parading as an app. The insanely overpriced subscription gets you a reminder which could be setup, in less time, in a free calendar. Their plant database is minuscule and none of the plants I submitted ever showed up. There is no option to set a plant as being in the ground, as opposed to in a pot. It has absolutely no idea how to deal with the desert southwest weather so everyday from April through October will warn about high temps, which just shows no one that made this overpriced subscription actually uses it.

It doesn’t do anything unless you subscribe/pay! A waste of my time.

I was impressed by the reviews I read so I jumped in for the year subscription. First two plants were incorrect. It doesn’t even have my plant in its database and won’t let me request to add because it is so certain it already has it…..but it’s wrong. It is the Shark Tooth Fern. Help!

This app is great for people that need to be reminded to water plants they probably wouldn’t have in the first place….I downloaded this app because it advertised a feature that you could take a picture of a sick plant and they would give you holistic solutions…such as, add potato water to plant or banana peels for potassium, as a few examples. No such feature exists, the “Dr.” in this app only ever suggests watering issue or pests. I am not a novice plant owner, I know how to water my plants. Don’t advertise something if it’s not party of the app, seriously. Zero stars.

I love the reminders, however, when there are two reminders for one plant, the fertilizer reminder should come before the water reminder. If I start at the top, and water, I will often find that some that were watered needed fertilizer. If I do the fertilizer first, the watering reminder goes away. Also, I’m an air plant lover, some more varieties and tips would be helpful.
