  • Controls are frustrating

Overall controls are pretty bad. The content is good but the controls make the UX bad. I need to pause… often! If I’m playing the lesson, keep the controls shown vs locking the screen down in the supplemental learning section. (Also why lock at all? Just being able to flick back to the audio controls would be ok.) Other notes Needed features are: back 1 ep (have), back 10 seconds (have) and restart ep (don’t have). Almost to roto-dial to rewind is very difficult… hard to hit the control. And/or: another nice to have might be 15/5 second rewinds.

If you’re wanting to learn a new language, Pimsleurs lessons are easy to digest. The lessons are not hard to do. In Each lesson there’s lots of review to help solidify what one’s already learned and a few new words are added. Just enough to not overwhelm you. I’ve tried other programs, this is the only one that I don’t feel like I’m not learning anything. I’ve learned more in the last month than what I’ve learned in 2years.

This seems like a very nice software with a very reasonable approach. Have not had a chance to use it yet, but working hard to master new languages.

I have tried every app out there and this one helps me the most with actually listening and comprehending what people are saying. If you need practice conversing and have a hard time memorizing words by reading (like me) this is perfect. Highly recommend!
