I started their free trial and then was looking to cancel it right after. I couldnt find the subscription in my app store and on the website there was no button that said cancel, but the support page said there would be. It’s unnecessary to have to send a support ticket to cancel a free trial subscription.
  • Still no update for the desktop app

I really love Endel and use the iPhone app when I can - it’s fantastic. But I rely even more heavily on the MacOS desktop app, and it hasn’t been updated in over 11 months, even though the iOS version received its update over a month ago. It would be great to see the same level of attention and care given to the desktop experience. Hoping an update is on the way soon!

But free is basically worthless. You have to pay money otherwise it’s pointless to have

I really wanted to pay to upgrade but I can't find any of the sounds that I liked in the ads. I loved their TikTok ad but I can't figure out how to navigate the app to find the sounds I'm looking for. Everything is so confusing so disorganized so I'm afraid to spend the money and then not even be able to find the sound that I want to listen to. Great concept but terrible layout. And why is there a guy with his face cut in half? This is supposed to be relaxing not triggering. Also please do not ask me a bunch of personal questions about myself and force me to answer them to be able to move forward with the app. You're purposely wasting peoples time when they just need to open the app and play a sound to relax or focus on whatever task they were trying to work on or go to sleep at night and your forcing them to answer 20 questions. Make it optional. Ask people, "Would you like to answer some questions for us to tailor the experience more for you?" And give them the option to say "no". I have no problem paying for an app that is transparent but if you make me answer 20 questions just to get to the next page just to find out what the subscription costs are and what I can try out on the app before I buy the subscription to see if I like it to make sure I do want to purchase a subscription then I have to close the app because I can't even try it after you made me waste my time answering all the questions I'm gonna be irritated, not relaxed. Be mindful of peoples time and be transparent from the beginning. Don't try to get people invested in it by making them answer so many questions and go through so many screens hoping that they're invested enough to go ahead and pay for it after you've made them spend their time going through all the intro stuff. That strategy makes me not want to spend money with an app, especially for an app that is meant for stress relief or to help you be more productive or help you sleep better. What would make me want to buy a subscription is 1. Bring us right to the page to listen to sounds right after we download - no swiping through a presentation or answering a bunch of questions 2. Give us access to the sounds for the first week to try them out to make sure they work for us or at least give us access to several sounds to try out to make sure we like the app before committing to a subscription (especially the ones that were in the ads that caused us to download it in the first place) 3. Organize the menu more clearly and more intuitively so we can find sounds more easily
