Genuinely keeps you more in touch with God’s word. What a beautiful app. The voices are very good, coming in several Bible versions and don’t sound like some AI generated robot type of voice. 100% recommend
  • A Wonderful Change In My Life

I am thankful to Christ that I discovered Dwell! The daily Scriptures and devotionals are inspiring and motivating. I give praises to God Most High for His presence in my life, and since I have been listening to Dwell, there has been a wonderful change in my life. The daily meditations and Lenten devotions have helped to deepen my relationship with God, and now I am more aware of the Lord’s presence with me as I go through each day. This app is amazing! I have shared some of the meditations with my friends and family members and some of them are listening to Dwell now! I encourage everyone to try this inspirational app and perhaps a wonderful change will happen in your lives as well as you daily listen to “Dwell”.

Let me start by saying I actually downloaded Abide first. I liked their video on YouTube with the background music so I decided to download their app and it was such a let down! I hated the fact I couldn’t just listen through the Bible on there with ease. It was always a different voice every chapter and it wouldn’t automatically go to the next chapter!! You had to put it in a playlist for it to continue (aka sitting there for 20 minutes adding each chapter to it ). I really wanted something that would automatically play through while I drove to work and this is perfect. AND added bonus, I can have a little background piano music while it is playing. It adds to the experience instead of dead silence. Yeah, there is a monthly/yearly subscription, but you know, I pay for Apple Music, so paying to listen to God’s word is worth it in my opinion. This is definitely the app to invest in if you’re looking for one to use.

  • Over A Year Overview

About a year and a half ago I had a random simple thought: I wanted to LISTEN to the Bible more. After downloading nearly every Bible app and trying out things like YouTube, I realized that there was such a lack of quality and options for such a seemingly simple task for the world’s oldest most popular book. Well, let me tell you folks…Dwell not only has what you need, but also so many features you didn’t even know you wanted. This app seemingly does the impossible, yet also makes me wonder, “Why hasn’t this always existed?!” I have typically been cheap with paying for apps, but this is one that I am happy to do so and feel good about. We are so blessed to live in these times. There is no reason not to listen to God’s word that He wants to share with you! [***Just 1 very minor but MAJOR request: A recent update now limits the query in the search bar to only 150 characters! It may have not been known by users or even the developers just how powerful the search function is/was. I often used this app to create special playlists - By pasting a bulk of passages at once in the search bar, it instantly made a savable playlist with an infinite amount of passages (it was like a loop around adding them one by one). Using the internet and AI to find, compile, and organize passages with simple comma formatting allowed endless creativity and utility for this. Please revert ASAP this very subtle yet super stingy limit to be as it was prior for so long. Thanks a ton! Bless you all!]
  • Why automatically subscribe me to the yearly plan?

This app is good in all the options it gives me to listen to God’s word. That said, I don’t like how I can’t have access to the skip and play back buttons during text mode. Also, why did my subscription renew to the yearly plan? I wasn’t planning on spending $50. I thought the monthly plan was about $3? I could’ve read it wrong but I think $8 a month is too much for just an audio app that isn’t even a streaming platform. I’m disappointed.
  • You put your info: then you find out you have to pay

I don’t appreciate that you had to put in all your information and then your informed that the app is NOT free.
  • Deception. Disgrace…

Downloaded this app and then immediately uninstalled it 2 minutes later when I realized that it required a paid subscription to use. This app conveniently doesn’t give any indication that a subscription is required until after you enter your email address. That’s suspicious 😒 I’ll stick to the free Bible app that I know and use.
