Please pay for the monthly subscription before going all in on the yearly subscription. I don’t feel that I had very much control of how I distributed macros like I have with other macro apps. It does what the description says it does, just not for me.

Wow the latest look, feel, and usability of the app is terrible. Keeps freezing too.
  • Was Great Until the New Update

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old UI. Nothing fancy, just did what it was supposed to do. This new change has made the app unusable. Just revert it back to the old UI.
  • Terrible Update

The new update is awful. Although some things are better, the search engine for food is terrible. You can’t log in your food based on protein, fats, and carbs… which was one of the best features of it! It’s confusing and took away all the simplicity from the previous version. I will be switching to a new app unless they roll back to the previous version on some features like the food log.
  • Update review is terrible

RP recently updated their entire app and I don’t find it very user friendly. I’ve used RP for years and loved the prior layout of everything. This newest update feels very disconnected, especially since I can’t log macros based on protein, fats, and carbs anymore. It just has me log food in an “all in one” search engine. Also the + and - option vs using a line to drag across for how many grams lags so bad. I find it way more time consuming using this version vs the previous one. It makes me not really want to use it anymore.
  • Miss the Old App

I used this app for over two years. The update is awful. I used to be able to easily just log protein, fats, and carbs the way it balanced your meals was terrible. Also, the protein is insanely low. I am only 115 lbs and it sets my protein at 105- which before was fine in the old format now the way it counts everything some meals it would have me eating only 2 oz of chicken or beef or less and good luck trying to make overnight protein oats with peanut butter and oatmeal. If I do that I am eating less than a half scoop of high quality protein powder which can’t be great for muscle growth. It is very clunky. I have kept my protein amounts the same from the old version but feel just really confused. Bring your old format back.

The original had its cons but the new version is so much worse. Where did the custom foods list go? I loved having the protein, fats and carbs lists separate. The “move macros to another meal” option was so easy and useful. The button issue wasn’t fixed either, it takes 10 taps before you’re able to fully click on something. I’m really sad I accidentally updated. I wish I could go back :(

I loved the app before the update. After the update the screen is very busy and a bit confusing. It was easier to create a meal when the foods were in their macro categories, and it was much easier to adjust the food amounts with the sliders. I appreciate some of the advanced features they added but I really don’t love the new interface. Based on this update, I will not renew my subscription.
  • Please rollback

The recent update to the application, which carries a subscription cost of $20 per month, does not provide satisfactory value due to persistent functionality issues. The decision to implement a mandatory update for all users, despite its apparent bugs, is concerning, particularly given the high level of satisfaction with the previous version. This update disrupts the user experience and, more critically, undermines the reliability of a tool intended to support health-related decisions. The presence of bugs in the current version raises significant concerns about the application’s trustworthiness for managing health and nutrition. Users depend on the application to provide accurate and reliable guidance, and any malfunctions could have serious implications for their well-being. I urge the restoration of the previous version’s stability or a prompt resolution of the current issues to ensure the application meets the expectations of its users and justifies its premium cost.
  • Bad update

I won’t lie, in the past I thought that this app would be one that I would use for years to come, but the new update is so bad it doesn’t even make me want to use the app anymore. Hope you can fix it or go back to how it was before and update it off that setup.
