By sticking to the meals, I scheduled out. I was able to lose 2 pounds a week for my first four week diet plan. I am going on vacation and that will start another four week diet plan. I am looking forward to continue getting results.
  • Unrealistic Marcos

Once you need to lose like 2 pounds a week it will drastically cut your carbs so far down it becomes unrealistic i can’t believe I paid $100 for this. Anyone please save your money.

This app takes your info so they can make money. Then they ask about your height and weight then how much you want to lose in 12 weeks. Then boom pay 19.99 a month or whatever annual. You can’t go farther unless you pay. These are data farming apps. I really like to watch Dr Mike but this is not cool.

I like the structure, HUD, and UI of the app, the problem is how limited the dietary foods are. The creation of your own custom food becomes a tedious exercise for someone who eats a lot of variety to the point where it takes so much effort to just enter one meal, knowing I have to build up the entire app for it? I’d rather just text chatgpt and get a 80-90th percentile accuracy that gets me through the day with 20% of the effort so I can focus on everything else. I think it has great potential but definitely limited if you don’t have a generic bland american diet.
  • Great for serious athletes

I am not great at logging food. I don’t feel this app is super user friendly for an amateur macro counter- looking up foods and selecting amounts isn’t intuitive.

    1. The database mentioned is only for protein sources. This macro enables the use of a bar code scanner. Your remaining food choices are limited (very) to RP endorsed, whole food choices. While I applaud this choice as a pro-nutrient one, it is limiting in applications for the general public. 2. RP suggests the goal to weight management (fat loss / Muscle gain) is built on a principle similar to a pyramid where total caloric intake is the primary driver, macro nutrients the secondary and meal timing the tertiary. While the app focuses solely on macros and meal timing. I use similar apps to track the calories (for reasons I’ll get to later) which is not a user friendly experience. If one app can do all this why pay for two? 3. “Without hunger” is not quite the experience of most on Reddit threads and message boards. I have been an avid supporter of RP since 2016 when they had PDF templates. I ran very successful fat loss and muscle gain diets using these documents which are thankfully saved to my phone. I dropped from approximately 2300 kcals to 1600 overnight on the app. This dramatic loss of nutrients was not sustainable. I am not a bodybuilder. I am an active middle aged man looking to lose fat. The results were not great. Insomnia. Missed sessions. Extreme fatigue. The algorithm for this needs to be looked at as it is the most discussed issue most users have. However, the RP hypertrophy app will likely be on the phone I am buried with. In the past you would have to purchase templates from RP to the tune of 118 per excel. This one app has the ability to replicate all physique templates (miss those endurance ones) and create more based on customer needs at a VERY reasonable price. Surpasses every bar I can think of. I just wish the diet app could do the same. I’ll unfortunately need to delete it and rely on Built with Science which seems to have a better AI nutritionist or Marco factor. For the latter I’ll need to create a new email so my old information isn’t carried over and I don’t start in a 700 kcal deficit. So improvements all around I suppose.
  • Little support and unrealistic macros

I had trouble with the RP app because the macros were unrealistic. The carbohydrate recommendation was way too high. How high? It recommended I eat five slices of bread in a meal. That’s in addition to fresh veggies and protein. The volume is unrealistic for a small framed woman like myself. I reached out to try and get assistance with adjusting the macros to be more realistic, while maintaining a fat loss strategy, but was sent a series of form messages, which did not address my problems.

I LOVE this diet app! The diet itself is effective and the app makes it so easy to find and input foods. I especially love that I can transfer macros from one meal to another as I don’t always have time or inclination to get the exact amount
