Color by Number∘

I color in this app every day, and have much enjoyed using my Apple Pencil. On my iPad Pro, I can use the pencil to color the pixels and the “insane” puzzles have been enjoyable. The latest update is a hot mess, at least with my setup. I get that it was a major overhaul—and that it takes a while to work the bugs out. But there are a LOT of bugs, especially when you get near the end of a color or a complete puzzle. There are consistent problems: (a) As I get almost to the end of a number, the app will suddenly mark that number as completed, even though there are still pixels to complete; (b) if you are at the end of a puzzle, there are consistently uncompleted numbers that have yet to be filled, even though the app says the puzzle is 100% complete, moreover (c) it starts to do this weird sparkly thing all over the puzzle well before I’ve completed it (this is my signal that time is running out, and usually the app freezes before I can get done. I can perhaps get back into the puzzle and try to finish if I restart and find it, but that is not always an option. I really enjoyed the app as it was and did not see a need for new tools. The only improvement I would have suggested (which is still needed) is a way to navigate to the most recent puzzle you were working on; a lot of times I can’t find it at all though eventually I do. For the first time in many months I abandoned it altogether to go to another app that is not nearly as nice. I have to watch some ads, but it lacks the minor frustrations of this app. (It is annoying to me to get to the last few pixels and get shut down before I finish.) I have subscribed for a couple of years to avoid ads and have better access to the tools that were available, and I loved the app as it was. Now it doesn’t work. If these things are not resolved in a timely fashion, I won’t pay for the subscription fee again. Update: After at least two updates, the problems continue.

The new update sucks. Everything is a money grab now. It keeps glitching now telling me I finished a number and I didn’t.

Only issue I have is it doesn’t complete all the colors

I love the app. It’s a great way to relax. After a few years I paid for the subscription. However, the picture selection is meant for a 3 year old lately. I’m constantly looking for new pictures like you used to have. I like the insane, intricate ones that take days and days. Lately, insane is a monkey or unicorn that takes an hour at best. Second issue is the recent update. You can no longer long hold on a number to find a square you cannot find. But you have to go all the way to the beginning to hit a certain key to find it. You’ve also darkened all the number squares you’re working on. It’s was much better when you just made the font bolder. With darker colors already completed, it’s hard to see the darkened squares. There is also an issue with the numbers that are putting a check mark as done, complete when they aren’t. Who wants to start a picture you cannot complete?

Been coloring with this app for YEARS. I will try to adjust with Dec 2025 changes, but I predict I will be looking for a new coloring app. The new selected color highlighting is terrible. Also experienced errors. Color got checked as compete but still saw squares/pixels for that color not colored in yet.

I’ve had this app for years and loved it up until earlier this year in which the app stopped giving me new images. I contact support about this and all they told me was that “it happens” and to wait because there’s nothing that can be done. Very upsetting because I would color everyday on this app. I still receive notifications of a “new image” available but when I check there is nothing new.

I’m not getting new pictures even though I’ve paid for premium. Quite irritating.

It is but since I am only eight some of them get a little to hard some of them i can’t do because they are hard

I feel like it is pretty good. The only thing I would do is if we could start over

The only thing is I would love to get new pictures every day like we did when I downloaded your app almost 8 years ago. I’m beginning to wonder what I’m paying for and out of all the other coloing apps out there I still Like yours…
