This is the only App I’ve ever paid for… and I recommend it to everyone! I love having all my recipes with me always

I recommend this to everyone. It is so convenient and user friendly. I love the recipe browser and how easy it is to download a recipe and also having the app on my iPad and phone is helpful! If you are looking for a way to organize your recipes digitally in a simple way-this is the app worth trying!

Paprika is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I hate subscriptions and you can buy this at a very budget-friendly one time price. When I look for recipes, I use the paprika browser and so far, it has downloaded everything I’ve chosen flawlessly. I don’t want a lot of bells and whistles and this app keeps it simple. Perfect!

I love that this app, especially because it is a one time fee. I can search any recipe online, even one full of ads, and just click download to get it in a clean format that I can save - with the recipe image. I also love the grocery list and menu features, the ability to share recipes and the ability to search and categorize recipes. My only negative if that you have to pay separately (and more) for the desktop app.

I set this up as a family recipe book and everyone logs in as me. Each person has their name in a category so they can find their contributions. This way all kids get Moms recipe for pumpkin pie for thanksgiving or the favorite chocolate cake with fudge frosting for birthdays. I have it on my phone and iPad but use my phone most. If I need to make something for potluck at church, I just pull out the recipe when I stop by the store on the way home after work. People ask for a recipe at potluck I email them on the spot. Love how easy it is to browse for any recipe and download it from the internet. Whole family is updated real time. No limit on categories so we have all food groups, all cuisines, even a natural remedies category as I’m collecting immune booster hot drinks for flu season and other natural remedies for home management. Had a friend lose their whole vegan recipe file so I exported the whole category to him and he has 600 instant recipes to start back up with. He’s a chef so adapts them easily to his style. Those he shares with the family are in there too. It works for Apple and android family equally well. Sharing it with our church health ministry to help us organize those offerings to members and the public. Great app for many wide uses.

Really easy to use. One suggestion is to be able to download a recount taking a picture and have the app convert to a recipe. I have this in another app but the rest of app is not as good as this. Any hope of adding this to paprika 3?

Listen, Paprika team — I don’t know what kind of quiet geniuses you are, but your app has become the command center of my kitchen. I have over a thousand recipes in here, all organized, tweaked, macro-fied, color-coded, and decorated with custom thumbnails starring my actual cats. (And yes, I’m aware this is not a normal use case. You did this to me.) I’ve basically turned Paprika into a low-carb laboratory. Flour experiments? In here. Homemade blends? In here. Deep dish pizza recipes guarded by a judgmental tabby? Oh, VERY in here. And Paprika just… handles it. Calmly. Like it was built for chaos. My late husband was a programmer, and he would have appreciated how clean, stable, and well-designed this app is. It’s the kind of software that behaves itself — which is more than I can say for my cats. So thank you. You made an app that supports creativity, comfort, and culinary witchcraft. And you’ve given me far more joy (and far fewer carbs) than I ever expected from a recipe manager. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go upload another recipe with a kangaroo covered in pecan flour.

Going out to eat has gotten too expensive and I needed a way to find new recipes to try and add /organize old favorites. I took a chance to buy this app without a chance to test it.. and wow am I blown away at the ease of searching and adding new recipes.. scaling down recipes (or up) to try first. I can add up to 5 stars, heart my favorites, and categorize them, or even create a shopping list. Thank you to the Paprika team for providing such a great app. Now I just need an app to track what’s in my fridge & freezer to eat later, with dates prepared. Also to track ingredients I have & where they are.. and also if able to generate a shopping list would be a dream come true!! Back to Paprika.. Don’t hesitate .. you can’t go wrong with this app!!
  • Is this app dead?

App continues to function but in a competitive market where many other offerings are adding new, interesting features, paprika 3 is showing its age. Long standing UI glitches have never been addressed, the import functionality has not been updated in years, there are no widgets or live activity support, and the developer has been promising v4 for years now. I will happily pay a subscription for a true upgrade to Paprika but am now looking at crouton and other well known recipe app alternatives. Long live paprika!

Everything I want in a recipe app. Easy to import recipes from the app or from the browser. Easy to edit. Easy to share. Menus easy to create. Have been using Paprika for almost 18 months and now my friends, family and cookbook club all use it ;-)
