  • Favorite App for Recipes

This is my go to recipe app, it has so many great features like being able to import recipes from online sources and halving recipes to make smaller batches. You can customize the recipe images, type in your own recipes, categorize them, this app really does have it all when it comes to features. I honestly can’t think of anything I’d change or add but… Today it says my browser is outdated and it won’t load recipes in Safari that are on YouTube so I hope they get this sorted quickly because rebooting didn’t help. This is since the recent iOS 18.3.1 update so I suspect this caused the issue since it was working fine prior. The devs are good about keeping this app updated so don’t let this deter you from buying it because it’s worth every cent. It pulls up a “Oh No! It looks like you’re using an older version of your browser. Please update it to use live chat” message so something broke.

I used to keep my favorite recipes in a binder, but now I can easily keep them on Paprika, accessible from both my phone and tablet. Though I have had this app for years, I am only now starting to harness its full power by using the grocery and pantry inventory tabs. I also used to just plan meals on a spreadsheet, but I can easily do that here and see what I need to do each day, as well as see my plans at a weekly or monthly glance. I can search all of my recipes by ingredient, which is helpful when I need to get rid of something before it expires. If I could make one suggestion for the developers, it would be to figure out a way to include tracking the macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, fat) and calories so that when I put my recipes into a meal plan, I’ll be able to total up all of those categories. Maybe the app already does that and I just haven’t discovered it yet. Like I said, I’m only just starting to get the most out of what this app has to offer.

Let me start by saying I rarely write reviews…but I do read reviews a lot prior to most online purchases. So in an effort to be a better human I am doing my part by sharing my experience with this app! I have had the app for about little over 6 mos. It has literally changed my life for the better…by saving time, reducing frustration, improving my nutrition by planning in advance and saving money by eating what I already own . I am stilllearning the nuances of the app but as a lifelong Apple products user I would say the app is pretty intuitive and easy to navigate. I am just now beginning to use the built in grocery shipping list which you can coordinate with the various saved recipes you select for a weeks worth of meals….still don’t have it down but love it. Since I only have Paprika on my IPad and not my phone…I just take a photo of the list and then I have it when I am physically at the store ( down side is you can digitally check off the items as you place in your cart, so just go ahead and buy the version across all platforms!) One of my favorite features is you can search through your saved recipes by using spa few ingredients you may have on hand to find a recipe that will use those specific items…especially useful when food is going to spoil soon! Also, love that you can create folder categories to save recipes by how you think of things….” Chicken”or “Italian” or “Keto” whatever you want! Best money I spent in a long time!

I tell so many people about this app because it has made me not dread meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking. My only request would be the ability to sync with google home to add things to the grocery list… a girl can dream

Don’t know what I would do without this app. Always have it available if I am food shopping and thought to make something, I can just open my app and see what I need. My recipes are organized and at my fingertips.

  • Customer support terrible

The rating might be misleading….but truthful. I love the app….but the customer support component is NON-EXISTANT. I have sent numerous requests for help and never once got a response. I was fully willing to purchase an additional license so syncing was seamless….but I can’t get anyone to help me with an account issue. Very disappointing when the app purchases aren’t cheap. C’mon Paprika, you have a great product, now support it!!
  • All my friends are now using this app

After seeing how my wife and I were using this app to store all our recipes, I’ve had a number of friends start to use it now. It’s actually been really easy to share Paprika recipe files and our friends/family can just import it into their Paprika app totally seamlessly. Thanks for not being a subscription also.

So easy to use. Creating a grocery list for the week from the recipes is a snap. Searching for and downloading recipes is quick and easy. I have the OS and iOS versions.
  • Upgrade is needed

Ingredients and quantities needs to be sorted and other language support. Distinguishing between 1 cup to 1 tablespoon spoon needs to be integrated. Visually old fashioned.
