Logs out often. Too difficult to maneuver window to be able to see. Janky experience. 5 out of 10. Should be a cleaner view and a breeze.

Very good but we are not able to select GPU, even Google Chrome Remote Desktop can use this feature over the browser, I can’t believe Microsoft can’t allow you to do RDP over GPU
  • Clipboard is Broken

I have to restart this app 5-10 times a day because the clipboard breaks. Restarting the app brings the functionality back, so it’s’ 100% the app. This has been plaguing me and my friends over in the Reddit forum since they rebranded this app: I had zero issues when it was the RDP app. As another said, there is no way to quickly change between companies: I connect to multiple companies and can no longer easily switch from one company to another from the taskbar any more, I have to open the full Connection Center to do so…this app was fine before the changed, why did you break it‽

Only issue is that it cannot retain a configuration the adjust dynamically the size and resolution.
  • Limited Functionality

The app is decent, but there is a huge lack of functionality and quality-of-life settings available. Specifically, I want the ability to group systems and then connect to all at once and also assign credentials per group. Additionally, I want to set global connection settings for all PCs, not do them per PC.
  • Doesn't work with multiple monitors

I have an additional monitor linked to my MBP. The old Microsoft Remote Desktop app never had a problem conncting with multiple monitors. The new Windows app doesn't get past the connection screen when "Use All monitors" is selcted. I have to unselect that option and only use my MBP screen in order to connect. This is deal breaker for me. I think it has something to do with the Optimize for Retina displays option but unselecting that doesnt fix the issue

Still has a little lag but I guess that's to be expected.

Use it to connect to a “headless” Windows 11 PC, and have no issues between my Mac to the PC.
  • Intermittent disconnects after installing 11.1

After updating to Windows App v 11.1, I can’t keep my RDC connections connected. They constantly disconnect, and the program then becomes unresponsive (hangs with the spinning disk of dealth). Sometimes killing the app and relaunching it helps, but even then, immediately after launching the app, I am unable to connect to any host for about 30 seconds (I receive a “cannot connect” error). The because so unusable that I used my TimeMachine backup to restore the app back to v11.08. Now, my connections work fine again. I reported the issue with the app’s Feedback. I have heard nothing from them. I recommend CAUTION when upgrading, and make sure to keep a copy of the previous version just in case.
