    These cameras are not reliable. They constantly disconnect or go offline. Motion recording is spotty. Multiple times there have been people at my door or animals on my deck and it doesn’t record any of it. DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU NEED RELIABLE CAMERAS!!!!

  • Don’t record right with sd cards

    Been having problems don’t give the option if you don’t make it work! Plus I I one of my cams out of the box and it don’t work so I had to buy another! They should work right getting irritated may just sell them and buy blink instead

  • Very slow response in app functions

    I use this brand and its app for cameras and a wifi lock. The response time for wifi lock to respond and open or close the lock is not acceptable. Sometimes it does not even work. I have a great WiFi signal for the locks location (10 feet from wifi extender). Batteries are new. So it cannot be blamed on such factors. Initially it worked great for few months but later it degraded. I don’t know what could be the potential cause of this but my understanding is that the app is malfunctioning. I guess it was my mistake for not using the competitors locks due to price difference. Now I pay with the inconvenience of wifi lock not doing what it is intended to do.

    I love the quality I love the fact that these cameras follow you every movement and I love that the app gives me many of notifications of movement or anything else that goes on while I’m not at home excellent cameras I recommend them to the next friend or the next person who are looking for cameras to have for security purposes

  • Problems with Wyze bulbs

    I love the cameras but not so much on the light bulbs. The colored spotlights were terrible. They didn’t react well to the app, the color didn’t agree to the app, and they were not bright enough. The regular Wyze bulb was working well up until yesterday when it stopped responding to the app. I tried Wyze support to no avail.

    All the many controls are a nice idea but the app crashes so frequently they are virtually useless.

  • Cameras go offline all the time.

    These cameras are good for about a month, then they start going offline every few days so you end up buying other Wyze accessories to power cycle the camera when it goes offline. Super unreliable and gives me anxiety when im away and can’t see what’s going on at home. I hope I get my money back and find a better camera soon!

    Never last more than a year, just got to my vacation place and now my app won’t connect to my cameras, no matter what I do. Don’t buy any of this garbage!

    It’s 2:30am on the coldest night of kidding season. A goat is due and you are ill. Your “trusty” wyze cam decided to stop connecting. It helpfully tells you to switch to 360P mode which btw you can only do when it is connected not while trying to connect so it’s useless advice. While desperately trying to get it to reset the app picks that very moment to ask how you are enjoying the app. TLDR: If you don’t live in the city and you want reliable and good quality video, this is not it. No local network connection possible so it relies on your internet being really good. Picture Quality is mediocre if you don’t live in a city with a lot of light and super fast WiFi. Color night vision doesn’t work out in the country it’s just black without the IR. The cam plus rarely works correctly, cutting off videos and missing action completely. Customer service has been no real help. The detection range is not very good. Every bug, raindrop, and snowflake will set of an alert at night but a fox grabbing a chicken 30 feet from the camera is not going to be recorded as an event. Connecting is dicey at best. Why still 3 stars? Because it’s what we can afford and it’s better than nothing. The SE cards allow us to at least go back and find what we missed. Now I’m off to go out in the 35°F night to check the goat I should be able to look at through my barn camera that decided not to bother connecting suddenly in the middle of the night. Wyze, aren’t you glad the app asked for a review tonight?
