why can’t I view the shows details and all the other episodes and seasons, when I’m watching the show from where and I left off on the home screen? Until this problem is fixed I’m leaving this at one star.

Was already subscribed and wouldn’t let me add or use subtitles and kept booting me off…. Could definitely make the interface easier to use.

Update: The more I use the app the less I want to be on it. It’s impossible to keep up with shows and their releases even though they tell you dates of airings. Their tracking system never remembers where I left off and the list system is just useless. I need a watch list that tells me when there is a new release for that specific show similar to Crunshy. But theirs isn’t great either. Just want an easy interface without all of this noise and window to window repetition. Just need a show episode list and a continue where left off button and a better tracking system. But I’m sure it’s a server issue because they don’t make enough money. Which is also why their app is probably bad. So I find that HIDIVE just is lacking in organization and user experience. It needs a rating system for their anime. You don’t know what’s good and you can’t seem to figure out what’s new. It’s just a mess imo. Eventually you catch on to the interface but by then you’re bored and just using myanimelist to see if anything for HIDIVE shows up. Which doesn’t help its model! I ended up watching a bunch of shows that turned out to be bangers. Unfortunately no one will know because I can’t review them. I think Crunchyroll has created a good system with their rating system. I would even argue it’s better than Netflix. Netflix dropped the ratings system which made me no longer enjoy Netflix anymore. People want to be on the same page with other humans. We want to be talking about the same things to find commonality. Reviews and feedback is how we communicate. Even social media is failing at this now. There is no reason to scroll if you only see comments that cater to you! I think HIDIVE would have better success with a ratings system.

Lots of great anime content but the Apps for this company are beyond terrible. The Apple TV app is one of the worst I’ve encountered. Watchlist and previously watched are impossible to find. Even on mobile it’s difficult and hard to find and add content. Unfortunately you have to slog through this app to watch the content. Wish the devs would overhaul all of the apps for Apple.

There are a few anime that I need to watch on this platform versus Crunchyroll, this would have been a five star review if they could hire an elementary school programmer to make their user interface, actually usable, the actual streaming on the episodes isn’t bad, but it’s impossible to find an anime you want to watch, it doesn’t remember what anime you’ve been watching, it doesn’t display the anime titles anywhere clearly, overall it’s just a poorly designed user interface. I don’t know why they don’t spend a couple thousand dollars to have someone record it, all they have to do is model themselves off of the other million different streaming services And get their user interface working, but apparently they’re too lazy or cheap to want to do that

This app is trash it does update or does work with ios26. I don’t see any of the new anime that’s supposedly exclusive. 10 thumbs down

Better than crunchyroll

It’s tough to really say what makes this UI so awkward to use. It’s just not nearly as good as others that you might use Netflix really kind of set the standard when it comes to ease of use. I also have issues with Amazon prime video there UI is also Not great and hard to navigate. I download the app because there are shows on this provider that are not on Crunchyroll. Now Crunchyroll is easier and seems better to use although I do appreciate the countdown for when the new episodes will be released as Crunchyroll does not have that feature. I wish they added on theirs. But yeah, there’s something about this UI and the navigation that makes me feel like I have to work hard harder to find shows that I might wanna watch or to keep track of them as well.

Great anime on the channel but the app is not user friendly at all. Get it together HiDive and you can be CrunchyRoll’s competitor. As of now, you’re garbage. Fix it! PLEASE!
