    I tried the free trial than it canceled it how you normally would do. I have Crunchyroll it’s a better app in my opinion but HIDIVE tried to take money out of my account after I canceled and so now I don’t have the money for my crunchyroll

    It is really difficult to keep track of what you’re watching if you decide to take a break between episodes, and it is also lacking some QoL features like “Skip Intro” and autoplay

  • Frustrating controls, always starts at first episode

    There are good shows in here that are not on Crunchyroll, however the controls are screen only. Also, when a new episode releases, it restarts on episode 1 - EVERY SINGLE TIME. They really need to do a major overhaul of the user interface, until then it’s unusable for me.

    Nothing goes to the next episode. Watchlist is not even present in the tv app. Seasons don’t exist. Episodes only and not even in order. It’s like it is made as messed up as possible. Either that or someone needs to lose a job.

    I really wanted to like HIDIVE since it has some great anime titles, but the app itself is a complete mess. 1. Even after setting my preferred language to Japanese, everything defaults back to English every time I open the app. It’s frustrating to constantly have to change it back. 2. The app doesn’t remember what episode I last watched, so I have to manually search for my place every single time, which completely ruins the viewing experience. 3. Worst of all, so many shows are listed as “coming soon” even though the episodes have been out for months. It makes browsing confusing and feels like the app is totally neglected. Overall, HIDIVE feels unpolished and broken. It’s a shame because the content lineup is solid, but the app itself makes it almost unusable. Definitely not worth the subscription until they fix these issues.

    This apps has so much potential. It has a lot of anime you find else ware. The biggest down fall would be the UI. It is horrible if they fix that then the app would be great.
