It’s great that it is a slow progress.
  • Subscription payment terms unclear

I tried the $1 trial and then quickly realized that it wasn’t for me. I went through the whole process to cancel my subscription and thought I was good. I’ve done this process plenty of times with other paid apps. The problem came about two weeks later when I was charged an amount that was more than I even originally thought I would pay if I chose to keep using the app. I was completely blindsided. There was apparently a whole other bundle subscription that I unknowingly opted in for that was not canceled when I canceled the main subscription. This was not obvious in any way until I saw the charge and started digging more into their website. I don’t know that I would call this app an outright scam, but it sure isn’t friendly to the users that decide that it’s not for them.

Would be an altruistic concept, but the U/X is SO busy and confusing, I don’t see how it could be helpful for anyone with ADHD type symptoms. The subscription is intentionally confusing, making it extremely difficult to understand your membership or cancel. If someone takes this idea, comes up with a better design and charges $5/month, they’d have better success.

Fabulous needs to create another app to help you cancel your subscription. Its a little like Hotel California….sign up anytime you like but good luck leaving.
  • Too many in app sales pitches

I’m spending $20 a month on this app and I’m constantly bombarded by exercises which I think are part of my subscription. Once I complete the exercise — usually a questionnaire that takes up time — I find out that the next step is not covered by my subscription. This really puts me off and starts my day in a bad way, which is the opposite of what this app should be doing. One reason I got the app was to help with my distractibility and procrastination. Constantly distracting me with exercises that are not covered to my subscription is counterproductive. I understand that these apps need a business model, but it’s unreasonable to have the first thing the app presents (when I open it) be a sales pitch disguised as part of my existing subscription. The app should be very clear about what is covered by my subscription *before* it sends me down rabbit holes that use up valuable morning time & distract— only to end with a sales pitch.

I haven’t been using the app very long (a few days) so I can’t speak to its effectiveness yet. That said, I feel like their pricing structure is exploitative and misleading, their customer service is unhelpful, and their user privacy is mercenary. Within minutes of signing up, I was buried under emails from other mental health apps — I can only presume that Fabulous sold my name and email even before I had finished my intake process. In short, not so Fabulous.
  • DO NOT GET THIS APP

The app is intentionally confusing and preys on ADHD people that will get too overwhelmed with the app and forget about it. It also charged me for something I didn’t sign up for, and charged me after I cancelled my subscription! It’s a scam and the layout is the opposite of that what people with ADHD need.

Literally cannot cancel my subscription. App will not let me log in. I try to login with Apple ID and it takes me back to the home page.

I’ve been using this app for three weeks and I am looking forward to using it for the next three years. I am thankful to the creators and will definitely be subscribing. If you’ve tried everything, and now you’re ready for lasting change, try this.

They take advantage of your low executive functioning and a difficult to navigate system to overcharge you! Overly complicated app and extra features that are difficult to access and use. The app notifications are annoying. Do not buy!
