It is really cool at first. You think yeah it’s worth it. Then after you buy it u less you read closely you realize all the cool stuff you were learning goes away unless you pay a subscription fee. Seemed expensive to start with the. To tack on a fee. Just disappointing. I am not one to complain what things cost. This just seemed unfair.
  • Totally worth it

If you’re a beginner or want to get better at guitar, you’ll benefit from this app a lot! I’d suggest adding the famous songs package. It’s getting much better every day with new guides and songs.
  • Love it!

    By hope this helps!?!
Great instructors that do an amazing job of breaking down songs into learnable chunks. The gaming version for the tabs is really useful. I think my timing got better ha ha. The Chicago Blues course on this app is a fav!!
  • An actual good learning app

I don’t normally leave reviews but thought I should for this. Huge fan of classic rock and jazz and I’ve had a guitar I’ve wanted to learn to play for 20 years that was more than just a wall ornament. I’ve tried some Udemy classes, I’ve tried books, I’ve tried YouTube but none really stuck. Not a lot of in person teachers where I am either. I’ve been using this for two weeks now and I can honestly say I’m seeing progress and improvements. When I first started I was hitting around 80-90% of notes and have been progressing normally. Decided to go back and try to beginner lessons and I’m 100%ing all the lesson songs in one shot. That’s after practicing lessons 4-5 times a week and repeating some I struggled with. It’s spendy, basic subscription is 20 bucks a month and the popular songs is another 5 (really it’s 25 because the hits add on soft locks you out of a lot of stuff) but it’s cheaper than a teacher and I’m seeing progress. The app starts you off on the e string and then adds more and more frets, then the B string and adds more frets, then you add the middle finger, etc.
  • Not working for me

Just subscribed was very excited; however, nothing works for me I can not play songs or advance, it just keeps asking to subscribe. It will not do anything but the very first lesson nothing else. Emailed them not even a courtesy email back that they are working on the issue
  • Horrible

Constantly says too low no matter what adjustments I make. Contacted support for some help and was ignored. Regret that I wasted my money on this app
  • Pay even more for songs

The app has some good tutorials and a good teaching method but if you want it to help you with specific songs you have to pay even more than the already steep price you’re being asked to pay for the app. So break out your second credit card.

I love the app, but I got a new iPhone 17 and I cannot log in. I am using the same userid and password that I use on the Gibson website.
  • It’s a really great start

Edit: I’m Response to Developer comment The app •will• gaslight you into thinking you’ve missed notes even when connected directly with an iRig. This applies on iOS and MacOS. Do not listen when they say it doesn’t. Really cool product with one glaring issue. The app WILL gaslight you into thinking you missed notes when you didn’t and were too early or too late when you weren’t. There are plenty of times when I did make a mistake but I’ve encountered even more instances where I am being told I’ve made mistakes when I haven’t. I find myself constantly worrying about whether the app will hear my next note our not. I don’t know if an external mic would help or not.
