A rating and detailed information help you understand the analysis of each product. When a product has a negative impact on your health, Yuka also recommends similar but healthier alternative products. ◆ A 100% INDEPENDENT PROJECT ◆ Yuka is a 100% independent project : product reviews and recommendations of healthier alternatives are done in an objective way. No brand or manufacturer can influence them in one way or another. Furthermore, there is no in-app advertising. You can access detailed information on our business model on our website (www.yuka.io). ◆ 5 MILLION REFERENCED PRODUCTS ◆ Yuka established a database that contains 3 million food products and 2 million cosmetic products. Each food product is evaluated according to 3 objective criteria: nutritional quality, presence of additives and organic aspect of the product. I thought it was gonna be good, but it’s honestly horrible. I looked into it before I got it cause I didn’t wanna waste my time and a lot of girls with curly hair just like me were reviewing it and saying that it’s awful because it’s false it said the way different ingredients from what it actually says on the bottle of their hair products and saying that the products are bad when it’s perfect for their hair and it’s actually kind of stupid how it’s saying that perfume is horrible and poor Like it doesn’t matter as long as it smells good it does not make any sense. 😒
  • Does not look for Hydrogenated Oils

Hydrogenated oil is not scanned for in “not approved” additives, worst. Will pass Yuka for not reviewing cooking sprays, and honey. If you incorporate “Hydrogenated oils” to “bad ingredients” i’ll give 5 stars. Seems like you care.
  • Seed Oils are bad

When will you stop recommending products with seed oils & canola oil in them? Please update your algorithm , because you’re missing a lot of poisons. Seed Oils, canola oil are so much worse than extra calories and fat. It seemed that you give more deductions for fat and calories than you do for seed oils.

(I did use AI to help write this as I am not a good writer and to make what I wanted to say clear and easy to understand) I absolutely love the Yuka app! It’s incredibly easy to use and has completely changed the way I shop for food and personal care products. I really appreciate how it breaks down ingredients and explains their potential impact on health in a way that’s clear and empowering. It helps me make informed decisions about what I’m putting into my body. One of the best things about Yuka is that it’s free, which makes it accessible to everyone. Knowledge about our health shouldn’t be a luxury, and Yuka makes sure it isn’t. What I really value is the way it gives me the information I need to make my own choices. If I want to enjoy a treat that contains a potential carcinogen or something else, I can do so fully informed—or I can decide it’s not worth the risk. It’s about *consent* and *awareness*, not fear, and that’s a powerful thing. Highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to take control of their health in a simple, practical way!

This is a game changer! I started a journey of healthy living earlier this year and this app is one of the best tools to facilitate this decision! Thanks to all that contributed to the birth of Yuka! You all are good health heroes!

Absolutely love this app I use it almost daily for groceries and other items but as someone who tries to keep a high protein intake I have no idea what products are good or bad for me. Would love if this app would include protein options
