  • Horrible update. Gets worse and worse

    I’ve had this app for yearrrss. I loved it and recommended it to everyone. I was annoyed when then moved to a paid model, but this new update is a deal breaker. It’s chaotic, messy, and ads extra steps to each task. And reading the latest reviews on here I’m not alone feeling this way. I’m definitely moving to a new app now.

    I have tried a lot of different recipe apps and this is by far the best!! Inserting your own recipe is so simple and everything is laid out exactly how I would want a cookbook to. Also importing from the internet or social media is amazing! I have never had to edit an imported recipe, it gets it perfectly from the source. I definitely recommend this app

    I love this app. It’s easy to use once you get the hang of it, easy to share recipes with family and friends, easy to add recipes for a variety of sources. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five, is that when I first purchased this app, I could use it on my iPad, iPhone, and my laptop. However, in one of the periodic updates, I lost the ability to use it on my laptop, which means I can’t type my own recipes from recipe cards or create them as easily. I would love for the developers to restore that capability of using it on my laptop.

    I’ve been using this app since January to keep track of all my recipes. The recipe import feature makes life easy. I used to spend forever reading articles, but now I can just paste them into the app and get the same format each time. Five stars before the update, but now that they’ve added the Ai feature it’s even better. I’m a hardcore meal prepper and love to cook other stuff on weekends, so managing everything in an app is necessary to stay organized. Sometimes I want to send a recipe to a friend/family member, so I print off a pdf version straight from the app and send it to them. Super easy. Great Job Cook Book team, keep it up!

    I’ve been using CookBook for years and bought the lifetime membership. Has been my consistent go to for downloading and storing recipes. Unfortunately, the most recent update completely overhauled the app and has made downloading recipes incredibly more difficult. The import process worked just fine before, automatically detecting and downloading a recipe on the page you were visiting, etc. Now there are several more steps, browser extension requirements, etc. You know the old saying, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it..”. We’ll, it’s kinda broke now….:-(

  • Cookbook Keeps Getting Better

    I discovered Cookbook several years ago and loved its versatility then, but with its recent relaunch it has gotten even better. Now it is easy to download recipes from virtually every social media platform which is huge. They even have figured out how to use AI to search for a recipe from a mere photo. I can’t wait to try it at my favorite restaurant! Keep up the great work Team Cookbook!!!

    This app is so well designed, functionally and visually. Easy to use, organize, update, take notes, and track your recipe. I use the import feature ALL the time and was thrilled to see new ways to add recipes in the update. And the update! Loved the old version and wasn’t excited about the update, but guys. They did amazing. More features, but easier to use, with better menus and more interesting, straightforward ways to scroll and search your recipes. Fantastic job to the developer team, this is one of my most used apps. Thank you!!

  • Great new UI but now it’s slower.

    Long time app user with pro user plan. I love the new UI in this update but it’s much slower now. I’ve tried importing from web link and even sharing from the suggested Safari share. Takes forever to import. Sometimes the one I just imported will not show up in the recent recipes so I try it again and it ends up duplicating the import. I’ve also noticed the pictures not showing up with social media imports. Did you take away auto tagging? The old version used to suggest tags. It’s not happening with latest update. Filtering through my recipes takes forever to load. I have 2,450 recipes so I don’t know if that’s the reason.
