  • Not Very Useful & Bugged

    I’ve had this for a few years now. It only recently detected an issue but it couldn’t take care of the issue itself. When I followed the directions to handle it manually, the issue/problem never resolved, even after clean installs of the app. I thought Trend Micro support could help but the agent clearly did not know what to do. The agent remotely logged into my computer, flailed around for about an hour and a half, clicking into my files and browser security settings but not before typing “Microsoft Edge” into my Spotlight search first. I eventually did have to terminate the support session after no success was had. Discontinued my subscription after that weird experience. I’m mostly savvy enough to prevent infections and malware anyway. For those, I recommend Malwarebytes.

    The scan took 2 hours. It supposedly found 2 infected files but won’t give the names of the files so that I can find and delete them. The program will only fix them - but only if I pay.

  • Bait and switch: Doesn't fix anything without a purchase

    This is a "Free to scan / Pay to fix" app. It tells me there are issues, but not what those issues are. It says there are files with problems and then pops up a "Pay to fix" dialog. For a company that promises to fix your computer, it fails.

    Stay away from this app this app does not offer. Any kind of customer service doesn't properly use the Apple sharing so if you have multiple Apple IDs and you log you, you log into that Apple ID and you're not able to use the product properly throughout the entire platform, they steal your 2999 for the year subscription and then expect you just keep on pain. There are another thief just like this entire Apple company platform stop buying stuff with Apple this company is trash just as much as they're all their devices.

    I downloaded this app, it doesn't mention that you have to pay for it. Well, it will run without pay, but you can't fix the problems until you pay. But every time I try to pay it says "Purchase not successful." There are many spots to click to pay for the app, but none will work. You can't pay from the App Store. So I went to the company website to get help. It is very hard to get help. I found their anti-virus app and paid for it. It turns out it's not this same app that I already ran for hours. I downloaded this app to a different Mac, and I still couldn't pay from that Mac either. Watch out with this app. You will waste a lot of time with it.
