i’m not even in alaska wth man But seriously, can yall fix this bug that forces me to wait 5-10 seconds after every single interaction I have with this app? I tap on a movie. I wait. I tap on log. I wait. I tap the back button. I wait. I tap a different tab. I wait. It’s not loading, it’s freezing. It’s insufferable.

I was signed out of the app randomly today and when I signed back in my profile has reverted back to what looks like when I first set it up. All my lists and reviews are gone. I had several lists and hundreds of a movies. Now they are all gone. There isn’t a report bug/help option on the app.

Letterboxd is a great place for film school nerds to be pretentious without bothering the rest of us.

I have used the application for four years and have had no significant problems. It is a handy tool for someone who loves films to log, review, and list the movies they watch straightforwardly and efficiently. Before, I would use the Notes app on my phone to write about the movies I watched back in 2019, but I couldn't keep up with it because it wasn't as appealing. I do not give the application a perfect score because it locks certain features behind a paywall when they aren't attractive or valuable. I realize it is a way to support the app, but the price, being either only twenty or forty for such a little difference in features, is not worth the charge. Other than that, if you love films as much as I do, it is a great application to share what you love and don't with other users and friends

Big fan of app, really no notes, but I had an idea for a like wheel for the watchlist. Not sure what to watch one night? Go to letterbox, spin the wheel, and it picks a movie from your watchlist (or movie it thinks you’d like based on past reviews, this could be toggled on and off). maybe you could also select what genre you want to watch that night. idk. that’s all. thanks!

When you get the app for the first time it let you rate movies in a ”Tinder” way, showing you random movies that you can rate and like very quickly. Then it’s impossible to go back to that feature in the app. If you think people are going to individually type every title of every movie they watched to add them to your app, you’re seriously wrong. I don’t have time to do this with 700 movies. I recommend people to use TV time instead, they have to feature. It’s more logical, user friendly and intuitive. What a shame.
