  • Almost perfect

I’ve had this app for a couple years and though they removed some features, it’s still my favorite and only routine that helps me build muscle. THE MAIN THING IS that you can’t do a workout with both iPhone and watch at the same time. So you’ll get notifications on the set number or timer but you can’t mark it as completed unless you go to phone or vice versa. I would rather read and watch the videos on phone but be able to mark it on watch so as to not keep going back to the single device.

This app could be significantly more valuable if it allowed users to submit standard workout machines to be added to its database. Additionally, providing the ability to reassign exercises to different muscle group categories during editing would enhance usability. For example, Rear Deltoid Rows might initially seem like a shoulder exercise, but it predominantly targets the back, making it important to categorize correctly.
  • Great for adding variety to a stagnant routine

Pros: love that it tailors workouts to include only the equipment to which you have access and it's not too difficult to adjust your equipment availability (for a day at the gym vs a day at home). It targets the muscle groups you specifically ask it to. Provides video demonstration of each exercise to click if needed. You can look at a snapshot of the full workout instead of step by step if you want. Cons: I don't like that the sets are back to back with rest between each--I prefer a more efficient workout where, for example, gluts rest while shoulders work to eliminate the need for rest time between every single set. It doesn't sync with music apps.

I typically use custom workouts. Decided to try out one of their plans since they listened to the users. Don’t care to see Volume, time and reps on my workout screen especially when it covers the exercise name. Seems the devs can’t correct one issue without adding something new. App still doesn’t integrate with Focus mode but it’s a minor issue. Times aren’t displayed uniformly. They say an exercise will take “x” mins then on the workout screen display your workout time in “hours and mins” instead of just total mins. App was perfect a year ago

It has great workouts, super customizable and excellent for tracking progress. One think that’s missing is ability to export the data for analysis or sharing with a trainer or health professional.
  • Latest update is a massive step back x 2

People’s schedules can vary unexpectedly, not being able to go back a complete a missed workout is a step back. The development team actually took the time to make the app worse by limiting choice and adding unnecessary complexity. Another update another step back now you’re forced to do 2 lower body days which is idiotic. Here’s the thing the app was perfect 3 years ago. Now flexibility is gone, easy navigation is gone. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel every time you make an update. Roll back the changes and add different exercises, it’s that simple. I promise your satisfaction will go back up. Develop things that people want and are willing to pay for instead of change for the sake of change just because you want to look like you’re doing something. Now every 5 weeks I have to spend an hour creating a schedule that actually works for me because some developers feel the need to change stuff to for the sake of change. Let the users decide and stop acting like Apple, you’re a workout app nothing more.
  • Not for kettlebell workouts

I should have checked the exercises more carefully before letting my free trial turn paid… this is not for kettlebell workouts. Doesn’t have even basic movements like swings. Very disappointing!
