  • Okay, but so many glitches

    I am a paid user and I am using this app concurrently with another app to find a roommate. But compared to another app like SpareRoom, the glitches in this one are pretty bad and often. Many times I send a message to a user and my message doesn’t show up or disappear or a weird “null” shows up. And many times the app doesn’t update or just crashes altogether which is super frustrating.

  • Unauthorized Transactions

    I use the app for a month and deleted my account only to find I would be charged every single month after for an account that no longer existed or had access to when messaging customer service. They told me to cancel it through my Apple ID, which the subscription did not show up through there in order to respond to customer service you had to pay for a subscription… I told them I was gonna dispute the charge with my bank and then they said that they canceled my subscription for me a “ partial” refund. If you want a mediocre app to have unauthorized charges to your card and to have a mediocre customer support reach out to you and barely fix your problem. Look no further.

  • Couldn’t even get it to work

    Unfortunately, you need paper bills to prove your residence. I have not used paper bills in a couple years at least. It also asked me for my title, which is in a safety deposit box. Is the team at rooster aware it is 2025 and most things are digital? Why not allow us to include a screenshot? Or some other way to verify our residence.

    Don’t let it fool you into creating a whole profile. You pay 12 dollars a week to use this app if you need it to do its function

    Blast messages are great! I check them all the time… but I have to scroll 5 hours to the bottom to find anyone who has pinged me. The green and blue indicators are nice… but doesn’t fix the main frustration with this app

    This is an internationally ran APP and I find it to be a joke. First, you can’t even put the availability date of your room listing, so they put the date you listed it. You want to know what I eat and when I go to bed but it isn’t relevant to know the listing availability. Second, I get an urgent email about a new posting from someone looking for a room in another state—NOT mine! Photos can’t be arranged and you can’t pick your default ad photo. I’m deleting my advertisement for a room and this APP!

  • Can’t see messages during night! They all appear white

    Change the system and the night settings back to the old way I keep on having to manually do!!! Other than that, it’s a pretty good app and I highly recommend it for finding a roommate! I just wish there was a way we could do background checks and credit report checks on people through the app like Zillow does.
