Tried to buy tickets for the past week, kept getting error messages and was told to buy tickets in person and that the price can change any time between then and now even though I could not buy tickets online.

In rides like Indiana jones and the forbidden temple, jungle cruise, etc., the app doesn’t work. Disney, we would appreciate if you put cell service in rides and ride queues.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after spending an entire day at Disneyland with the official app, I feel like I need to explain just how shockingly good it is. This isn’t just some random theme park map you download and forget about — it feels like a full-on command center for your trip, and it’s easily one of the most polished and useful apps I’ve ever used on iOS. First off, the map integration is insane. Every ride, restaurant, restroom, and show is displayed clearly, and you can zoom in smoothly all the way down to exact walkways. The live wait times are spot-on (I literally tested them by checking Pirates of the Caribbean in the app, then walking there, and it was accurate down to the minute). You can even filter the map to only show the stuff you care about — like dining or entertainment — which makes it way faster than flipping through a paper map or guessing where to go. The Mobile Food Ordering is a complete game changer. I tapped in a churro order while walking toward Haunted Mansion, and by the time I got there, it was ready at the pickup window. No waiting in a long line in the sun, no dealing with paper receipts. And it’s not just snacks — full meals from places like Galactic Grill or Bengal Barbecue can be ordered with a couple taps. Honestly, it saved me hours throughout the day. Then there’s Genie+ and Lightning Lane, which are baked into the app seamlessly. I was able to book a Lightning Lane for Indiana Jones while eating lunch, and by the time I walked over, my spot was ready. The app even suggested an ideal itinerary based on what rides I liked most — and it wasn’t generic. It actually prioritized thrill rides because it noticed that’s what I’d been choosing. That little personalization touch made it feel like the app was tailoring Disneyland just for me. Another thing I didn’t expect was how good the virtual tickets and passes are. I never once had to dig around for paper tickets or plastic cards. The app stores everything — admission, Genie+, PhotoPass — in one easy place, and scanning at the gates is as simple as holding my phone under the reader. Even linking family members’ tickets is smooth. I had everyone’s passes in my account, and the app handled it without a single hiccup. On top of all that, the app has little magical touches. The design matches the park perfectly, with bright colors and icons that feel cheerful but still clean. The real-time push notifications were surprisingly helpful, too — I got a reminder that my dining reservation was coming up at Café Orleans, and even a notice that Fantasmic was canceled due to weather. It kept me updated without me having to constantly check. Honestly, if I had to sum it up, the Disneyland app feels less like an app and more like a digital tour guide who just happens to live in my pocket. It’s fast, beautiful, and most importantly, it saves time so I can actually enjoy the park instead of stressing about logistics. I’ve used Universal’s app before, and it’s not even close — Disneyland’s is just on another level. So yeah, five stars all the way. If anyone is on the fence about downloading this before their trip, don’t even hesitate — it’s basically the key to unlocking the best possible Disneyland experience. Huge thanks to the developers for making something this powerful but still easy to use. I really hope they see this review, because this app absolutely deserves recognition.
